I would point out that the Microsoft Update updates only Microsoft's OS's and Microsoft Application Programs (the later if selected) and other programs have updater's nowadays and some in fact have a pop-up when you use them to tell you that an update is available, which you should use to fix any bugs and have the respective program or utility perform optimally and better. That said, I would remind all that there are at least 69% of drivers that are installed on any Computer Workstation in particular to extra installed Hardware that is not automatically updated by Microsoft or other Publishers for which we then have utility Programs such as TweakBit Driver Update that wil do the job for you. - I trust that clears up what I pay for and what I don't and would agree with you that I would never pay for a driver for any hardware.
There are some honks out there, however there are also some legitimate updater type utilities and programs that do a legitimate job and in fact perform the correct update of the utility or program or driver that is out of date on your system workstation if you have installed a utility program such as TweakBit Driver Update to do the job for you.
Until Malware Bytes in the post back in 2016 suggests that it is a Virus or lately lists it as a PUP, both of which are contentious to say the least, I will refrain from taking MalwareBytes detection as being a PUP and disregard the old post of 2016 suggesting it is a virus.
My message to MalwareByts is, "Update, Update, Revise, Revise, all that you post or list whereas the old posts like the 2016 are out of date and are in my opinion misleading the consumer referring to old data and Publishers version of a particular anomaly in one of their old program versions. You are welcome to Add to the Allow List in Malwarebytes for Windows v4 if you wish or turn off PUP detection entirely. I think Norton 360 should have a driver updater tool in conjunction with the software updater tool. I am glad they added the software updater tool and use it frequently now. However, I had to turn to Avast for a driver updater tool since Norton doesn't include one.

I expected better from Norton also. I received a report from Norton after running my typical scans and it stated that I had (12) drivers requiring an update and that I could try Norton Driver Updater for 60 days free and prorated the rest of my subscription.
To be safe, I went to device manager and I checked every single one of my drivers for updates, and then checked with Windows Update to double check another driver update wasn't available for each, in particular the ones Norton called out.
Windows can't be that off...I expected at least some of the drivers Norton reported to be outdated, but not a single one. Makes me believe Norton is just looking for us to pay for a product that won't actually give us what we expect. Now this is making me question the Norton Ultimate Utilities I purchased, are all those corrected "errors" really there?

So I'm sure this question has been asked by more than me here but i was unable to find any solution. I have two pcs one new lap top where they connected fine. But my media pc in my living room which is older refuses to connect, it has paired but not connected. The computer is using the ASUS USB BT 400 usb dongle.
Don't know what to do and SONY does not seem to want to adress the issue, at least not with a solution. Thats bad considering How Maaaany are experiencing this joke of an issue 2021 for so expensive headphones.
so its a bit better even that it would had been of it has worked on the first attempt, and thats what most atr Happy with, thst means abandoning the A2DP Codec replacing it witj the APTX as per above. But thst codec does not work with snytning other than a bluetooth infrastructures that can accomodate it and speak the same jive.
About a month ago I was able to fix this issue by playing around with drivers and it worked perfectly until yesterday after I installed some new drivers with Auslogics/Tweakbit Driver Updaters (which in my opinion are not very reliable/stable) and after I did it this issue happened again. So I'm more than sure that this is the driver fault, now I'm trying to troubleshoot it and point out which exact driver/s causing it, also will compare all drivers with the normally functioning Windows where headphones easily connecting. I will let you know if I find something new that may solve this issue.

P.S. The thing is that all the Bluetooth devices are correctly paired, but if you click on any of them including WH1000-XM3 headphones it instantly shows 'Couldn't connect', even without actually trying to connect.
So basically I use many different driver updaters such as Driver Booster, Driver Easy and DriverMax, these three I prefer most of all as they provide most reliable drivers compared to the other ones I used recently which messed up with my drivers including Auslogics, TweakBit, Smart Driver Updater etc.
But only the DriverMax happen to backup all my drivers that I had installed on January, I started to restore drivers one after another while keeping my headphones paired to the PC and turned on during all that time, after third driver that I restored it automatically connected and I've heard in headphones "Bluetooth connected", such a relieve.
It connected but for full headphones functionality I still need to restore the rest of the Bluetooth drivers.
If you used any Driver Updater I recommend to look for backups, most updaters usually make backup when you install new drivers, and from there start to restore one by one until your headphones connect to your device, and use only reliable/stable drivers.
