Welcome to Concorde: a new creation from Blackbird Spyplane where Erin takes the lead. You could call it a women’s vertical, but the insights, intel and “cute swag information” transcend gender.

Hiii it’s me (Erin), the co-pilot behind Blackbird Spyplane. I used to work as a trend forecaster, then a magazine editor, and these days I’m a design scout. I stay behind the scenes here at the sletter, but every post you know and love has been personally vetted & blessed by yours truly.

So today we’re launching Concorde, dedicated to dope under-the-radar joints for our “hot lady army” — and, truly, anyone whose taste and curiosity is Mach 3+. As with Blackbird Spyplane, the name pays homage to a vibey, beautifully designed, long-defunct supersonic aircraft.

We’ll send Concorde 2x monthly. We decided to make the first edition or two free for everybody, but going forward you’ll have to be in the Blackbird Spyplane Cla$$ified Tier (which, if you aren’t already, why are you denying yourself the pleasure??) to read it.

Other GUI changes include; A redo of the Flight Planning page, and the shown selected flightplan. There is also the addition of MIN, HALF and MAX (Fuel) selections, This way it is possible to quickly set up the airplane for short, medium and long range trips, even without the use of the Fuel Manager.

On Concorde v3 / X-Plane 12, I have been trying to emulate EGLL to KJFK flights made in Concorde v2 on X-plane 11. Flightplan is in the GPS and engaged via INS mode. Fuel and passenger loads are comparable.

I've had this exact same issue for some days but I have figured out a way to solve it. Notice if you pop open the x-plane 1000 panel it should be black. You need to assign a key to "avionics toggle" and press that after start, and verify that the screen of the x-plane 1000 is actually on. The AFCS and A/T should work just fine after that.

Please find some screenshoot on our new plane by one of the member of the team CROC (Virtual Ferté Alais) on our new private mod (photo realism map objet). The concorde is the french famous civilian jet ! great to escort him for virtual meeting ! Work in progress. Hope to make it controlable one day. Here is all technical data on this link. Intercept 2000 km/h speed plane can be also fun !

During the Cold war, Britain and France wanted air travel that went faster than the speed of sound, which meant that the two countries had to create a plane faster than any other commercial airliner flying at that time. The British developers were overwhelmed with the cost of producing such an aircraft, so they reached out to other countries to work with, and ended up working with France.

Besides the Concorde being the fastest supersonic commercial airplane in aviation history, it also accomplished other significant advancements. One of them being its air intake control units, or AICUs in short. This was the first time a digital processor was used to give an airplane full control of an essential system.

I bought the dc-designs concorde a few days ago and all ready made an suceessfull atlantic crossing from kjfk-egll but i have noticed people say that you need to manage the fuel etc. and have the center gravity? I have never had a problem with it and it says on the switches that they are in auto mode. Do i have to pay attention to that on future flights, and learn to move fuel from aft to fwd? even if they are in auto mode? or are there people how just want to make it manualy in the sim?

We'll bring you inside stories of the collaboration between British and French teams who went beyond borders, politics, and even language to make a passenger plane unlike anything that had flown before ... or that has flown since.

Residing there for eighteen months, I choose to attend this first, by boat, in the axis of the track, in front of Maho Beach, where people from all over the world come to give themselves strong sensations by hanging themselves at the fence a few meters under the wheels of the planes that land!!!

The Concorde is a Class 3 aircraft, based on the supersonic airliner of the same name, which you can learn about here. It is the fastest plane in the game, tied with the Starship, both having a speed of 400 mph. However, the fastest plane series is the Cloudliner Series. Statistically, the Concorde is about equal to the Fogbuster Series, with more range and speed.

On November 22nd, 1977, the first commercial Concorde flight took off, allowing passengers to cross the Atlantic Ocean in little more than three hours, about half the time it took other airplanes. Concorde, the British/French-produced supersonic airplane, was meant to be a testament to the romance of air travel: a commercial airline that could zip passengers across continents. When the first prototype took off in 1969, television ratings for the event were surpassed only by the moon landing that year. But while Concorde invigorated the imagination of European air enthusiasts, it proved to more of a symbol than a practical machine.

It was a technological marvel, to be sure. Families would visit De Gaulle Airport in Paris just to watch the famous downturned-nose airplane land. French farmers would set their clocks to its punctual arrival, marked by a supersonic boom. New Yorkers would look up from their cars on the Belt Parkway near Kennedy Airport and marvel at its elegant, bird-like landing approach.

So why has Concorde been retired for nearly fifteen years? Despite its homage to the romance of air travel, the plane was always plagued by obstacles. The plane was fragile, requiring 18 hours of maintenance for every hour it spent in the air; the time spent idle created economic burdens. It never became a vehicle for average air travelers, developing a reputation as a plaything for the wealthy, who paid nearly $10,000 per ticket. And yet despite the high cost of a ticket, the plane featured a spartan interior, with limited legroom and no space for amenities such as in-flight movies.

But what ultimately brought Concorde down was economics. As oil prices took off, Concorde was able to carry only a quarter of the passenger load of other planes, while using as much fuel. Concorde, noted technology writer Guillame de Syon, became more of a status symbol than a business tool. In this way, it was similar to the zeppelin, which boosted German prestige after World War I yet never was able to realize commercial success after the disastrous Hindenburg explosion.

The Concorde was a supersonic passenger airplane operated by British Airways and Air France between 1976 and 2003. It was developed in the 1960s as a joint venture between the British and French governments, making its first flight in 1969. It was known for its sleek, delta-wing design and the ability to fly at speeds of up to Mach 2, or twice the speed of sound (it was the first commercial airplane to break the sound barrier and could fly from London to New York in just over three hours). Despite its short service life, the Concorde remains an iconic and influential aircraft in aviation history.
