Left out a lot of good names. My TWH came with his name Smokey. My mini is Strider because he strides right along. I like Beauty,Max,Pie,Lady,Lucky,Bell,Beau,Rocky,Jasper,Ed, Flicka just to name a few.
I will be calling my buckskin stallion Esprit, French for Spirit which I thought was a little too cliched plus, I am a huge fan of names that sound foreign, the ones where you feel the need for a different accent or to roll your tongue, things like Javador, Sakura, Sabina or, as I said, Esprit
Was the picture of the young girl on the chocolate colored Rocky Mountain Horse doing dressage on the best names page in any magazines? She is my daughter and I was wondering how she ended up on the website. She is so honored and excited and was hoping to get more information about when and where the picture was taken and if it is anywhere else.

I also have twins ( not really, but they act like it )! They are both pretty black Arabians with a white mane and tail and both of them are broke-in. Their names are Plum & Vimmy. The only way to tell them apart, is that Plum has a white blaze and Vimmy does not.
I collect as well and i have been collecting about 3 years now and have about 75 horses and i dont know how many other schliechs, my fav scliech name is millionare who i repainted to be a grey dapple horse.

I have 2 horses. My pony is named Princess. She thinks she is always the star of the show. My Black Lippizan is named Frank. He kinda has the his blaze kinda looks like a Hot Dog :). You could do names of like what kind of blaze the horse has. or if it has high socks on his feet, you could call him White Socks. (socks For a barn name)

I think horses are brilliant animals. They are one of the most common uses for therapy. I should know cuz I have three horses of myself Penny, sugar, and Patches. people should start treating horses with respect because horses get beat up sometimes because people just see them as animals with no feelings but really they are one of the deep down sweet gentle Giants.
These names you have put here are great! I personally like any name that does not sound something like what you would name a human, though sometimes it may sound nice depending on what the horse looks like. Stay safe!
Growing up around horses we've always named them on their color or personality. one of my favorite horses was a big brown super gentle horse. He was named Brownie. Another one was Badger, he'd turn on you in an instant for no reason, kinda like when a badger leaves it's den then walks away a few steps and then charges you. My cousin had an Appaloosa named Spot. I thought that was pretty obvious and lame, he also had a dog named Spot, he wasn't the imaginative type. Uncle had a horse named Red, matched his temper and demeanor, he was great at cutting cattle though. Friend in high school way back when had one called Bolt, originally because he was super fast as a colt, but the name stuck as when you tried to ride him he would bolt. if you weren't ready for that you were spitting dirt lol.
The jet black Standardbred I'm riding now is Death. After losing the legendary Arabian and going on the killing spree in Valentine i went hunting up north of Strawberry to cool off and get the perfect elk skin. I caught him up there and the name seemed fitting since i was killing everyone at the time lol.
Also picked up a grey/black something or other sometime along the way, big work horse looking thing, i haven't ridden it enough to remember what it is. She's called Darkness as her legs are grey and body/back goes to black. kinda like the dark coming in.
I used the round table knights names for my horses. Because you know, I'm not original or creative. Got a full stable with: Guinevere, Galahad, Lancelot and Tristan... Lancelot was going to be named "Austin Powers" originally, because goldmember (the horse have gold coat) but I got profanity on the name and I don't know why, btw anyone knows why would toggle the profanity? (I'm not a native english speaker, I don't see anything wrong with Austin Powers)
Anything to do with RDR2 getting called for profanity is a bit ironic. There's some foul language in the game, no doubt, so anyone having issues with potty mouth really should be looking for Nintendo games and forums. ?

My father is buying 120 acres that will be used for family recreation, entertaining clients of our small family business and possibly in the future as a corporate retreat center. We do not want a name that is presumptuous in any way and I hesitate to even call it a farm or ranch, based on the fact that it probably will not produce livestock etc. Some things to note are that our family name is Green and that the Verde creek runs through the property. My uncle also named Green has a much larger place that is adjacent. On the property there is one old stone wall remaining of what was an old homestead. Dove hunting and fly fishing for bass will be key activities. Any ideas would be appreciated.
