We have a cabin on Uncas Road and last summer walked down a very
overgrown trail off of STOCK LANE to what was referred to as "the
witches cauldron" .

It is a fascinating site to see and we'd like to go back but doubt we
could find it without our neighbor/guide who took us down the the
heavy growth.

Can that trail be cleaned up and how can my husband and I volunteer to
help out?

Thanks,

Pat & Leon Phelps of Ithaca NY and Uncas Road

The next time you are up you can stop in at Pedals & Petals and sign
up as a Trailblazer. At that point you can go out on State trails and
help keep them clear. If that particular trail is just overgrown than
you can take loppers to cut the overgrowth out. If there are trees
down on the trail blocking it, than we would get one of our club
members that is chainsaw qualified to go in and cut it out.
