Moose River Recreation Area draft UMP

The APA removing the Moose River Recreation Area draft UMP from its
next meeting agenda is good news. Closing 90% of the campsites and
approximately 40 miles of trails in the MRRA could strangle the
economic life-blood out of Inlet and we can not allow this to happen.
We must be ready when the new Governor's administration takes over,
by the end of January, to wage another assault on this ridiculous DEC
plan. The DEC haschanged the name from Moose River Recreation Area to
Moose River Wild Forest. We must REFUSE to acknowledge this name change
or the old MRRA will soon become the Moose River Wilderness Area! It's
a RECREATION AREA damnit!
