The December 12, 2006 Inlet Town Board meeting featured a lengthy
discussion that revolved around trail maintenance, the Inlet Parks
Department and the NYS DEC. Reggie Chambers, Ted Christodaro and Connie
Perry, among others, voiced concern that trail maintenance is not
adequate, the Parks Dept is overwhelmed and understaffed, and that the
DEC is more hindrance than help.
There was consensus that these issues must be resolved and Ted
Christodaro requested that the Town Board immediately create an ad hoc
committee to address the problems. The first meeting of this committee
is Monday December 18, 6:30p.m. at the Town Hall. All interested
parties are welcome to attend.
