AsAl indicated, It is possible to run Windows 11 in a degraded - and definitely unsupported - mode on older PCs. There are limitations (like availability of TPM support) and it does take some hacking to get it installed.

Also as Al indicated, the supported-processor decisions were made by Microsoft. Microsoft drew the line based largely on the availability of a specific execution-isolation security technology, called Virtualization-Based Security (VBS). For more information on this and other security features being utilized, here is a link to a white paper from Microsoft: Windows 11 Security Book: Powerful security from chip to cloud. Intel introduced support for VBS in its 7th gen processors, but Windows 11 support is mostly limited to Intel's 8th gen processors (Microsoft chose to only validate a very small number of 7th gen processors).

I have found your post while looking to see if I can upgrade my CPU for faster performance. My laptop have the same Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz as yours and I'm successfully running Windows 11 which no issues and have been running Win 11 since the release.

The RPM packaging post-install step used to perform a recursive chown on JENKINS_HOME and other directories to ensure correct ownership.Especially in the case of JENKINS_HOME this could lead to very long-running installations and updates.

Jenkins 2.60.1 includes major improvements in Windows Service management, which were introduced from Jenkins 2.50 to 2.60.In particular, Windows Service Wrapper (WinSW) has been updated to the 2.x baseline.

finally i decide, I will sale my system and will move on mac. i will never use window system again. Becasue after buying new system, they can asked you are able to update again, if you want to update again, buy an other one again. now i cant trust on them.

Same processor on my HP laptop. Spent a pretty penny on it initially and upgrading to SSD, memory etc. Perfectly good specification PC which should have updates post 2025. Would be happy to stay with W10 if upkept after 2025. Not happy about being forced to update my whole laptop to suit W11. Will look for alternative, which also means dropping paid Microsoft subscriptions e.g. Office etc.

I have an HP OMEN 17" gaming laptop with this processor and while it is a few years old now, it was not a cheap laptop when I bought it. I spent a lot of cash upgrading the SSD and the Memory only now to be told it won't support Windows 11. So at this point I'm stuck on Win 10 for as long as MS chooses to support it, or migrating to Linux for the future.

But your requirment docs for windows 11 supports this processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz . so why can't i update my Alienware r3 17. TPM turned on. It is a coding issue guys in windows. look at your code. and allow these devices to be supported. Intel only follows your lead so do not say Dell is to blame. Please advise what the issue with the wrong information. If you need a snap shot of your requiremnets I will send it.

To be honest...it just doesn't make sense to me either...especially when you look at what IS required in a processor, the Intel Core i7-6700HQ meets the requirements so I don't know what gives. Unless there is something else I'm missing. I wish we could afford to buy new laptops but that's not our reality.

After posting my last note, I decided to try the Intel forums to see if maybe they had an answer. Someone did post about and whether it's true or "official" I'm really not sure but, sadly, was surprised at it being an arbitrary decision.

The only thing my ASUS ROG gaming laptop has that isn't supported by Win 11 is the I7-6700HQ processor. The laptop is six years old, can run 96% of the games out there, but not Win 11? That's just crazy to me. There are machines out there with less capable processors that ARE supported. Mac OS Ventura supports six year-old iMacs. Very disappointed in Microsoft.

Thanks but I did read that posting earlier before adding my two cents. :-) I was just hoping to get the answer to an issue so many of us are now going to have to face when on the surface it looks like it meets all the criteria. I've been in as situation of installing something on my machine that wouldn't be supported and while that nightmare was with just a video driver, this is an entire operating system and don't have a warm and fuzzy about installing it only to have some kind of problem and Microsoft not being able to support it.

If anyone else has downloaded this character already, please re-download it from the link in the first post. Joe worked fine thru all my testing with 2.52, 2.53, & 2.54, but ristesekuloski exposed a bug with the rig if you use him in a recent graphicall.org build, (or basically, the next upcoming release of blender 2.5x).

Joe has been updated and working great in Blender 2.60a. I updated Joe and sent a copy in to BlenderArt magazine, the online publication, and a link to this thread was given in issue #35. I discovered a small problem with Joe since then and have fixed the small bug.

The first step to converting 2.60 to a fraction is to re-write 2.60 in the form p/q where p and q are both positive integers. To start with, 2.60 can be written as simply 2.60/1 to technically be written as a fraction.

Next, we will count the number of fractional digits after the decimal point in 2.60, which in this case is 2. For however many digits after the decimal point there are, we will multiply the numerator and denominator of 2.60/1 each by 10 to the power of that many digits. For instance, for 0.45, there are 2 fractional digits so we would multiply by 100; or for 0.324, since there are 3 fractional digits, we would multiply by 1000. So, in this case, we will multiply the numerator and denominator of 2.60/1 each by 100:

Hi! I have windows 2000 on my server installed. I was there since some time running navision 2.60 server succesfully. I heard that it is possible that I can run 2 different navision versions on one server. So I installed on my server also Navision Attain 3.10 a. My problem is that Navision Attain 3.10 a will not run when I go to a client computer an start there Attain 3.10. I want to run all two navision services on my server at the same time. I made also the following settings on my windows 2000 server and my clients (windows 2000 and windows xp). In the hosts file on server and clients I made the following settings: 192.168.200.19 navi260 192.168.200.19 navi310 In the services file on server and clients I made the following settings: NAVI260 2407/tcp NAVI310 2412/tcp but when I start my Attain 3.10 client on a client computer I get TCP error. As servername I took navi310. A ping to the server from my client is running. It is also possible to start the Attain 3.10 Client on my windows 2000 server with the navision services. When I start only the navision 2.60 service on my server I can work with my navision clients on the computers. Who has an idea what here is wrong? Can somebody give me a good idea? Thanks

Hi all, the beta version has been approved by Apple, so those of you in the beta testing program should be able to install this version now. The version is 2.60.1, build 2. If you have encountered any of the above issues in 2.60 and would like to help us with testing the next version, please use this link to join the TestFlight beta testing program.

We have published MIT App Inventor for iOS version 2.60.1 (build 3) to Apple TestFlight for beta testing. This release contains the following bug fixes beyond what was included in 2.60.1 (build 2) to address some issues raised in various curricula.

Buenos dias

In a statement, the SRA said: Advice has been received that trainees would be classed as apprentices within the terms of the National Minimum Wage Regulations 1999. The regulations would apply a rate of 2.60 per hour for apprentices in their first year, and 6.08 per hour (the standard minimum wage) for subsequent years [around 12,000 a year].

The board is keen to canvass views on the potential impact of deregulation of the minimum salary, as well as on an option to retain a prescribed minimum salary which is set at the level of the standard national minimum wage for the whole period of a training contract.

Vice-chair Heather Iqbal-Rayner said: Apprentice wages are designed for school leavers who are usually living with their parents and about to enter a profession. Solicitor trainees will have completed four, five or even six years of study by the time they begin a training contract and may have children and mortgages, not to mention a mountain of debt from studying.

Last week the JLD issued a call for a delay to the consultation citing, amongst a range of issues, a lack of assessment on the impact the move would have on diversity and social mobility in the legal profession, and the fact that the Legal Education and Training Review is currently going on.

I have very mixed feelings about this. Being a law undergraduate about to finish my degree, and from a working class background, who has not recieved any financial help from my family, I can understand why the JLD would believe that keeping the minimum wage as is, would be beneficial to people like myself to achieve social mobility. However on the other hand, one must acknowledge that the amount of training contracts being offered currently has become limited. I will be leaving university without having secured a training contract and due to this I am very unsure about whether to persue the LPC, getting myself into more debt, when there is a strong possibility I will not secure a training contract at all within the 5 year period one would have to. Now one of the main reasons I believe that law firms are cutting back on training contracts or stopping them altogether or not applying to register with the SRA to actually offer them is because of the high starting salaries. I currently have a placement with a small high street firm and they have said to me that this is definately the case for them. The fact is with the economy still reeling from the downturn in 2008, penny pinching is definately a focus for law firms and if it keeps gong the way it is, there will be an over subscription of law graduates with no hope of actually getting into law because there will be limited training contracts, and obviousy we cannot qualify until we have completed that stage, sometimes i feel it would be better if we had a system like America, I do not feel it is fair that students have to fight for training contracts to qualify here, when the playing field regarding socio economic backgrounds is not a level playing field. we are all aware the more money you have the more oppertunities you seem to have, the better schools you get into, the better education you have, the more connections you make (because we all know law is about who you know, not what you know) it is very frustrating, there should be enough training contracts for everyone, or we should not have to do them, put simply. make all law firms that satisfy the criteria for the SRA take on at least one trainee, perhaps lower the wage but not quite so low as the minimum wage, at least make sure a person can live off that wage. There are just too many faults in our system, and for people like myself it is rather depressing, I mean what do we do seriously? we cant win, we have a high starting salary currently but not enough training contracts, if we start people on the minimum wage of the apprentiship wage to start with, then people will not be able to live unless you have a family that can support you. if I knew all of what I know now, I probably would have chosen a different degree, now all I can do is try and make the best of a bad situation as i know I cant win either way, I will probably not be able to continue in my path to become a solicitor an will have to try and find some other career.
