goodday, I have a new mf632Cdw printer/scanner. We have several different laptops running in the house, one of them being my work Dell. I am trying to scan to computer. The printer/scanner "sees" my Dell laptop but doesn't recognize either of 2 new HP laptops running Windows 10. What settings do I have to change to make the 2 HP laptops visible for scanning?

I'm in quite a tricky situation as I updated my laptop to Windows 10 yesterday and when I tried to log in again this morning using my fingerprint, it did not recognise it and after 3 attempts it locked me out!

I have never used a password to log into my PC and ever since I bought it 5 months ago I only used the fingerprint option to log in. However now it keeps asking me for a password but I never created one to start with. Since I never had a password, I never had a password recovery USB either.

On the sign on window you should see a "sign-in options" link that will allow you to try a Password, PIN or Fingerprint. Since you say you did not set up a password try choosing the Password or PIN option and leaving the Password/PIN field blank. What error or message do you get after three failed attempts?

I don't see any sign in options... all I see is a blue Windows 10 background and a white bar (with an arrow at the end)into which it tells me to enter the password....I see nothing else underneath (no options like the ones you listed).

If you have any Microsoft accounts such as Hotmail, Outlook, Xbox, OneDrive, etc., I suggest you try that password in the password field. Just in case it is in fact looking for a Microsoft Account password.

Great customer service. The scanner would have been great but it was not what i was needing. I asked if it had john Deere Advisor and originally they just kept telling me it would do John Deere but never said if it did or didnt have the actual JD advisor. Once received the computer and seen it didnt have it I reached out and was told it does not have that application. I told them I wanted to return it and no questions asked they sent me a shipping label. IF your wanting a computer more HD trucks this would be perfect.

I can say this is the best purchase I've made for my Diesel shop and for my trucking company. I've had other computer systems but this one is a all in one for equipment my shop deals with even down to Ag and construction equipment. For some of the programs to run them you have to have additional adaptors to go in-between the OB 2 port but still better the all the systems with Snap-On or Mac tools I'm really impressed and this system has already saved thousands in less then two months time.

I was pretty skeptical ordering. I connected Esa, jpro, and insite so far with really no issues. I thought finding the program I wanted to be a little confusing at first, but that's really the only trouble I had. I'm positive the investment in going to be well worth it.

I have an HP EliteBook 8740w which has VFS451 Fingerprint Scanner built into it and it's working just fine. How can I capture fingerprints in c# for a way of authentication (I'm looking for a simple and working library)?

From looking around a bit it seems that HP laptops using this scanner also use some Digital Persona software, so you might try the Digital Persona SDK. Its not free, though you may be able to find an old version somewhere.

For a more general solution for capturing fingerprint images using your laptop's built-in scanner, try Neurotechnology's Free Fingerprint SDK or Graiule Biometric's SDK. I've used both of these in C#, and both work well for capturing a fingerprint image using, which you can then process through SourceAfis. Both also have extraction and matching functionality so you don't have to use another library if you choose not to. Also, Free Fingerprint SDK comes with a lot of drivers for different scanning devices. Your scanner isn't listed under supported devices, but it may be worth a try. Graiule has their own driver which replaces the manufacturers driver, though I don't see your device listed there either.

Setup my Epson WF-3620 all-in-one printer wireless yesterday due to an xfinity router change. The unit prints wireless and the printer USB port connects to my laptop wireless. I cannot get the scanner to communicate with my laptop. My laptop has Windows 10 64-bit. Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem. I can use Epson Scan on my laptop and scan a single image from my WF-3520, but am unable to scan from the WF to my laptop. There is an option to Scan to Computer, but "Last Used"- my laptop can't be found. As I said my laptop can find the WF but not the other way round.

i hope you can use the explorer well so if you can open it and navigate to this directory windows\system32 see if you have a directory called "twain_32" inside there is a file named "wiatwain.ds" but the more important folder should be named "Epson". For example my is named "SCANPORT".

Perhaps my machine was wanded without me knowing it. Perhaps my machine was just faulty. Perhaps the universe just wanted to play a mean joke on me. Needless to say, the following two trips to Russia I had all THREE of my devices. Better safe than sorry.

I travel approx once per month for work. Just got home from Hawaii. After trying to start up MacBook when returning home no response when trying to use it. X-Ray Scanner was acting funny at Lihue airport, and they did a recalibration while my MacBook was going through. MacBook was in sleep mode not off

After flying home from Denver Intl. Airport, I discovered that my laptop had horrible wifi reception. In other words, where I should have had 5 bars, I got only 1, and could not play videos due to extreme buffering. After several weeks, I got the idea to purchase an external USB wifi adapter.
