Supernatural is an American supernatural drama television series, created by Eric Kripke, that follows brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) as they travel throughout the United States hunting supernatural creatures. The series borrows heavily from folklore and urban legends, and explores mythology and Christian theology, and their main adversaries throughout the series are demons.

The series premiered on September 13, 2005 on The WB.[1] The first season was broadcast on The WB, and following The WB's merger with UPN in September 2006, Supernatural continued to be aired on the new network, The CW.[2] All fifteen seasons are available on DVD in Regions 1, 2, and 4 and are also available on Blu-ray.

In the shortest season of the show, a lot actually happens for the brother hunters. We see the culmination of the shapeshifter plot from season 1, we learn more about demons after they all escaped from hell in the finale of season 2. Gordon finally meets his end, as the thing he hates most. We learn a lot more about the hunting community, with Bela being a thief of supernatural objects. Ruby tries to show the boys the ropes of fighting demons, and helps Sam and Dean out of a couple of bad situations. You should also be paying attention to one trickster that showed up yet again! Ultimately, destiny awaits Dean, and he meets his end by the traditional hellhound death of crossroads contract holders.

They peel out in the Impala, skidding in the dust, still arguing about whether they should have tried to confront the demon, or whether they could try to trade the Colt for their father. Sam is focused on killing the demon at any cost, and Dean is not.

It begs the question of what John did, with his sons there too, to make Bobby threaten him. This episode has alot of dark things to say about the way John Winchester raised his boys. Was Bobby being protective of one of them?

The Winchesters are smart enough not to have to in the early seasons, so Sam throws the fire alarm. As people start rushing out of the building, Dean distracts one of the firemen while Sam steals some protective gear from the truck.

They knock on the door and tell the demons to evacuate, busting in and spraying them with holy water from their fire extinguishers when the demons open the door and then locking them in a closet and salting the door. Like I said, pretty damn smart.

Everyone goes through the mill this episode. Poor Bobby, he loses Rumsfeld( so glad that was left off screen) . Tom dies along with the demon, the real Meg Masters suffers horribly then gives her last breath to help the Brothers, John gets possessed by YED, Dean gets brutalised and Sam has to witness that and be positioned to potentially kill his own father. It was a shocker for sure.

The one good thing that comes from this episode is Sam takes to heart all the lessons Dean has been teaching him about the importance of family as he selflessly puts aside all thoughts of vengeance, all the pain and arguments he had with John to give Dean what he needs , a chance at a whole, complete family , stepping up bravely to defend his family in the face of the demon who ruined their lives.

After all, Supernatural season 15's ending doesn't make it easy to return to the Winchesters' story. Dean's fate and Sam's retirement in the series finale complicate a potential Supernatural revival. It would need to retcon or work around the original conclusion, and that's far from the only obstacle another season of the CW series faces. If Ackles and Padalecki really want to resurrect the excitement surrounding the show, they might be better off rebooting it.

Although all 15 seasons of Supernatural maintained a dedicated audience, the overwhelming consensus is that the early outings of the show are better than the later ones. I personally believe that Supernatural seasons 1-5 feel more coherent, and I'm not the only one to ask whether it should have ended there. The later outings feel less consistent, and they also lose the novelty of Supernatural's early episodes. The series feels increasingly stale as it approaches its conclusion, and this raises major concerns about Supernatural season 16.

Even if we've had time to miss the series and its characters, dragging out Sam and Dean's story could feel tiresome after 15 seasons. And the fact that Sam and Dean are basically mythical beings who can kill and cheat Death doesn't help. Supernatural's early charm stems from its smaller-scale storytelling, which would be impossible to recapture in season 16. A Supernatural reboot, however, could remind viewers why they fell in love with the series in the first place. Of course, this approach would come with an impossible problem of its own.

A Supernatural reboot might capture the charm of the first few seasons, but it would have another massive challenge to overcome: recasting the Winchester brothers. Even if Ackles and Padalecki were involved in a Supernatural reboot, they wouldn't be able to play Sam and Dean. For one, it would raise questions about the point of rebooting the series in the first place. It would also be less convincing if the reboot wanted to keep the leads the same age they are in the original series. The actors are almost two decades older than they were when Supernatural premiered.

Unfortunately, I think the debate about whether Supernatural should return for season 16 or a reboot is pointless. The reality is that Supernatural should probably just be left alone; it doesn't need to be revived, and doing so only puts its legacy at risk. The CW series has an impressive reputation, even with the criticisms of its later seasons. Rebooting the show or dragging it out past its expiration date comes with more risks than benefits. Both approaches have significant challenges they'd need to overcome, and failing could reflect poorly on Supernatural as a whole.

If Ackles and Padalecki are really committed to returning to this world, they should probably do so behind-the-scenes and for a new project entirely. The cancelation of The Winchesters prequel doesn't bode well for other Supernatural spinoffs, but they'd be more welcome than a revival. There are other parts of this world to explore, but continuing or restarting Sam and Dean's story is not the best way to go about it.

I would love to see if Sam's Son and Maybe one of Dean's one night stands have a son get together to fight the supernatural creatures or God even, then have Sam and Dean come down from heaven to help there son's in a few episodes for Season 16.

sthu just putting it back on the screen would be enough , the writers for that show are brilliant, they have already pulled off the impossible bringing characters back to life , so keep your wannabe opinion to yourself

I don't think it would be all that hard at all to revive supernatural. You simply bring Dean back. He came back from hell. He can definitely come back from heaven. Bring Sam out of retirement And they have the conversation of going back to the roots, " saving people hunting things the family business " And that's how it starts. Writers are supposed to be creative, create!!

well . i would say hard to comeback this series to difficult we know dean die because his head cutting by vampire and sam die being old the solution how to comeback is this to continue the series of their own mom and dad witch is already have the winchester if you guys watch already the series on the series of the winchester dean soul and bobby comeback to the series because he wants to save his mom and dad to yellow eye . if your not watching this series i would say this is the time to watch bro thanks me later

No reboots. I'm all for a season 16 or even a big screen movie. My idea for season 16 is to use a character they only mentioned indirectly 1 time in it's duration, Jesus. Maybe one of the demons of hell similar to abandoned or asmodeus had been holding Jesus hostage on Chuck's orders because Jesus almost took Chuck out before the events of Supernatural. So the story would pick up with Sam, Dean, Castiel, Bobby and Jack in heaven at the bar, and an angel everyone thought was dead bursts unto the bar looking like he's been tortured to an inch of his life, informs the team of the existence if Jesus. Castiel heals that Angel. Jack the New God decides to give the team their mortal bodies back and sends them to earth to investigate. Sam gets to reconnect with his adult son and his grandson, and that's basically the first episode and the premise of the New season.

If we could get a movie with Sam and Dean, I would suggest a cross over horror where the iconic monster or entity has never been put down and Sam and Dean are called to finally put am end to it. Could be Valak in the conjuring and Nun series, could be Jeepers Creepers, but there's so much substance and talent to pull it off.

Superfan 99 of supernatural here. Continuation, spin off or reboot mixed feelings, like anything if done do it right or don't do it. Valak had/has the potential to be The Horror icon above Freddie, Myers, Chucky above anything the Exorcist came up with if written and directed in a terrifying way. Grew up a horror fan never turned one off until the Conjuring 2 scared me stiff walked away the next night I watched the rest because I had to know what happened. The Nun 1 & 2 removed the fear and made Valak silly more than anything particularly the nun 2. Completely ruined something which could have set a new standard. Valak/The Nun if done right would be too scary for Supernatural unless it went in a different truly horror series direction. A very interesting idea because I would love more of both done in the right way and yet I think keeping them separate is for the best.
