Yes, it's that time of year again. We need to have a talk about bumpers.--Bumpers are required for your robot. Must be able to display BLUE and RED bumpers, most teams build two sets, but you can build one set with reversible material.Team number must be visible from all directions. There are specific instructions in the manual. Read and follow them. They must be durable and be easy to remove and replace on your robot. No bumper segment will be less than 6 INCHES this yearBumpers are 5 inches tallTop of bumper MUST be under 7" from the floorYou can buy bumper material here: http://www.andymark.com/Bumpers-s/253.htmYou will need 3/4" plywood, pool noodles, material and some way to display your team number on the bumpers.BUMPER RULES SECTION 8.5 of the GAME MANUALREAD THE BUMPER RULES NOW, IF YOU ARE NOT SURE... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ASK!There are trained Lead Robot Inspectors and Robot Inspectors in this group that will help youIt's always a shame to tell a team they cannot compete until their bumpers comply with all the bumper rules. And it is no fun to build bumpers in your pit space at the competition
