Greetings from chilly New Hampshire,

 

I hope you are well and enjoying the build up to Championship. I joined FIRST in October as the Marketing Director and I hope to have the opportunity meet you in-person soon. In my role, I am responsible for supporting FIRST’s school engagement initiative, and in support of that work we will be exhibiting at several tradeshows this year.

 

FIRST will be exhibiting at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) conference in Los Angeles,  March 30^th – April 2^nd.  We are hosting workshops, demonstrating LL Jr, FLL, and FTC robots, and engaging with educators at our booth. We had a terrific experience attending the NSTA conference last year, so we invested in a larger exhibition space this year. Our large booth can accommodate, along with our tradeshow staff, 2 FRC robots and a handful of team members. As we all know, no one does a better job getting people excited about FIRST than a team and their robot. If you could help to identify some teams and work with us to coordinate their participation I would be grateful. This is our wish list:

 

-        1 or 2 FRC robots and up to 4 team members on these days/times:

o   Thursday, March 30^th
11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

o   Friday, March 31^st
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

o   Saturday, April 1^st
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

-        We also welcome our local RDs, Partners, and Senior Mentors to join us. Please let me know if you’d like to join us at the booth and we can work out the day/time that works best.

I’m still relatively new to FIRST and I hope I haven’t left any of our folks doing great work for us in CA off this message. In the event that I did miss someone please feel free to forward this message, or reply and let me know who I missed.

 

I realize this is an incredibly busy time of year and greatly appreciate your help. The NSTA conference is a terrific opportunity to introduce 12k+ educators in front of FIRST robots and our kids. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
