Hi Doug

Looking good.

Close to what I am building.    Have no finished it.   I brought it last time.  Nice that the X is close to the bridge.
I don’t know if you want to have one or two finger brazes.   Many guitars have them parallel to the upper X braces.   If it’s one finger brazes often they divide the area to two same size area.   Others do connect the side braze to the bridge.
I do not like parallel brazes.  To prone to resonance.

I am always concerned to place the bridge on a nodal point.   I can not see that it would be a problem for you.  The bridge is above the center.   The open X will give you a priority to the base.  And that’s ok.   The location of the upper X brazes is fine.

I have never tried to put smaller sound hole ports in the upper horn.   Nice.
I am avoiding them on the top to reduce rosette work.   They will look nice.

Happy new year.

Although it’s tough to see in this light drawing, I put my ideas down based on my Small Jumbo guitar shape. I like the idea of a hybrid X and fan brace like Marc suggested.I braced a OM similar to this 15 years ago. Still trying to visualize the finger braces to help focus on the monopole movement of the top. This is fun thinking outside the box. Thanks for the challenge and instruction Cai.
