Here is a pic of the first walnut/curly maple guitar in it's initial
coat of top finish. the sides and back are done in a separate step.
I attempted my first ever tobacco/honey burst right on this guitar.
most would say that is a stupid idea, i kind of agree since the fade
from color to color is tricky. but in this case it worked out for me
pretty well.

VERY nice. I have YET to be brave enough to try a burst. I have all
the stuff and have for years but never got up the nuts to do it. Good
job! We expect a photo how-to tomorrow!

grab yourself a chunk of plywood and cut it out into the shape you
your guitar. try it on that first. once i got my gun dialed in, i
was surprised how easy it was. any time you want to come over and
watch me do one you are welcome to. i am no master but i will show
you my take on it. we can cut up some scrap wood here and practice.
