First attempt of snail

I have some snails

But all of wrong size and shape.

I used a string attached to a dowel and mechanical pencil.

Draw the scroll (spiral) letting the string role up on the 12mm dowel.

 Here I draw I spiral using a socket.

Just using a stick and weight to keep it in place.

And tie the pencil to the string.

So I did one smaller

Note that for the “leg“ I used a French curve template.

So I made one smaller.

The inside of the snail is what I use.
