Apologies - Ink Well will return next week

Friends,

Please accept my apologies that there is no new Ink Well puzzle this week. For the first time since the feature began in fall 2004, we're publishing a rerun in syndication. A pretty good streak all in all, but things happen. 

A very dear friend of mine is ill, and I took the week off to be with him.

Ink Well will return next week. If the void in your solving life proves intolerable, you can always go back to the archives - perhaps you missed a puzzle somewhere along the line. And of course the AVCX puzzle will be sent out as usual tonight. If you're not a subscriber, you can sign up at avxwords.com. 

Oh, and don't sleep on Peter Gordon's sweet new crossword project on Kickstarter. He's raising money to do a weekly current events puzzle, which will be both fantastic and unique.
