A mailbox with the Postmaster General's (PMG) seal of approval meets USPS size and construction standards. If you build your own mailbox or buy a custom-made one, it must meet the PMG standards. Show your local postmaster your mailbox plans or your custom-made box for approval.

due to the fact we have recently switched to office365 we would like to use a shared mailbox as our main support E-Mail for osTicket. Unfortunately osTicket does not suppor this (to my knowledge)

ramrajone it would cost us monthly if we had to create our own user for support in office365. Therefore I hope that someone has a detour (mod) for it since the shared mailbox authentication error resul due to the programming of osTicket.

Our problem is that with the switch to office365 there is no way to create a user mailbox which you don't have to pay monthly. For this reason I can imagine that several companies will now use shardes mailboxes as a workaround. Otherwise it is not worth using an open solution like osTicket if you have to pay 20$ per month for an e-mail account, then you can just as well switch to zendesk or other providers.

ramrajone of course you're right i only had the price in mind that we pay for our users. It's about $4-5, despite all this it makes it almost impossible for office365 users to use osTicket for free anymore just because osTicket does not want to support shardes mailboxes.

ramrajone I understand your point of view, too. I think it's just a pity that of all the projects I use only osTicket seems to intentionally not allow shared mailbox. But we could certainly keep exchanging our opinions here all day but this won't help me or any other osTicket user who wants to use shared mailbox.

ntozier Another option is to use the relatively inexpensive Exchange Online Plan 1 for the support mailboxes you need. Although I suppose that what is trying to be accomplished by the OP is that they want the support staffs name to appear alongside the email.

I am currently using a shared mailbox as my main support inbox.
Once you create the shared mailbox a user account should appear for it in the O365 user manager.
You can then set the password for it.

Really, cutting the opening is quite sufficient, but I wanted an upgraded feel to this mailbox (yes, I am a nerd), so I constructed a simple mail chute out of three pieces of thin cardboard and secured it to the mail slot with duct tape.

Otherwise, using a BLF for the shared mailbox is probably the least impact for doing this. Instead of using the phone MWI, you can use the BLF and LED for messages waiting. Program BLF with the VM mailbox number with the *98 prefix.

If your mailbox is damaged due to the snow plowing operation, please report the damage within 45 days of the incident to the Public Works Dispatcher at (860) 584-7791. You will be asked your name, telephone number, when it happened (date, time), who did it (city or contract plow, truck number), and whether or not your can make temporary repair to continue mail delivery. This information will be referred to the Streets Division and if confirmed, repair will be made.

I am doing a channel test that is receiving lots of messages. I may receive a message during setup, adjust some state and then I want to assert ( or refute ) another copy of that message was sent. I think I could do this by clearing the mailbox before causing the event which would trigger the second message. How do I clear the channelcase mailbox?

EDIT,I have accomplished my needs by assert_push all of the old messages, which clears them off of the mailbox. This works well enough but would be very inconvenient if there were more than a few messages

The messages sent through the channel are stored at the test process mailbox, so in order to clean the messages we just need to clean the mailbox of the process. So using what Mark posted above we can flush the messages.

Property owners of single-family residential units (including duplexes and triplexes) are eligible to participate in the program. Tenants may also participate with written permission from their landlord (necessary as the mailbox will be owned by the property owner). Mailboxes are available on a first come first served basis and limited to one mailbox per addressed residence within the City of Lake Forest Park.

A mailbox will be reserved upon receipt of a complete application and payment. Once the city has received a significant number of applications, we will place a bulk order for mailboxes. Once we receive the mailboxes, you will be contacted to pick yours up.

The Mail Boss 7500 Mail Manager Pro in black (see images above) has been selected for the program based on durability, security, product warranty, and price. The mailbox will cost $121.44 ($99.20 plus $11 shipping and $11.24 sales tax) which is significantly lower than the retail cost of $160. Payments can be made in person to City of LFP by cash, card*, or check (*additional service fee applies).

Alaska DOT&PF has standard mailbox installation designs for use on Alaska's roads. The standard mailboxes are designed to reduce the risk of injury to vehicle occupants in a collision with the mailbox. When vehicles collide with obstructions on the right-of-way the result can be property damage, personal injury or even death. See the Standards section for approved mailbox installation designs..

Where new road construction projects make it necessary to replace mailboxes, DOT&PF removes existing mailboxes and replaces them with crashworthy installations. In all other situations, property owners are responsible for installing and maintaining crashworthy mailbox installations.

Newspaper delivery tubes may be attached beneath the mailbox or on the side of the mailbox support opposite the reflective marker. Newspaper tubes must consist of light sheet metal or plastic construction. The name of the newspaper may be imprinted on the tube; however, no other printing or advertising is allowed. Property owners may install a crashworthy support for a newspaper tube if that property does not have a mailbox installation.

DOT&PF encourages the use of Neighborhood Delivery and Collection Box Units (NDCBU), sometimes referred to as gang boxes, at locations with numerous mailboxes, such as mobile home parks, apartments, and subdivisions. Due to their size and weight, NDCBUs should be installed off of the highway right-of-way and must be installed outside of the highway clear zone. If possible, gang boxes should be installed on low volume intersecting roadways or on private property. If it is essential for NDCBUs to be located on the right-of-way, DOT&PF must be contacted to designate an acceptable location. DOT&PF is not responsible for the installation and maintenance of NDCBUs. You may contact the United States Postal Service (USPS) regarding information about the installation of NDCBUs.

Why does my mailbox and support installation need to be an approved design?
Mailboxes are a hazard to the motoring public because of their location on the roadside. Approved mailbox supports are designed to reduce the potential for severe injury or death in the event of a crash.

Can I install custom mailbox supports?
As described in the answer above, USPS approved mailboxes and DOT&PF approved mailbox installation designs are allowed on state roads. Many types of custom and commercially available mailboxes and mailbox supports are potentially hazardous if hit by a vehicle. Only mailbox supports constructed in conformance with DOT&PF approved installation designs available for download above in the Standards section are acceptable.

How should I label my mailbox?
The USPS provides instructions regarding placement and size of lettering on mailboxes. Note that any advertising on a mailbox or its support is prohibited. Decorative items that add weight to the mailbox are not allowed because they can become hazardous objects if the mailbox is struck by a vehicle.

Who furnishes the mailboxes and installs mailbox supports?
Where new road construction makes it necessary to replace mailboxes, DOT&PF installs approved mailbox supports at new locations. In all other cases, property owners are responsible for installing and maintaining crashworthy mailbox supports and mailboxes. The mailbox itself must comply with USPS standards. Contact the USPS with questions regarding approved mailboxes.

Do I need a permit for my mailbox?
No. However, all mailbox installations must be constructed in accordance with the approved mailbox installation designs provided in the Standards section in order to minimize risk to motorists.
