Thisaimugan refers to Lord Brahma . Lord Vishnu Showed himself as paramapathanathar to Brahma hence the name Thisaimugacheri. Lord Narasimha After killing Demon Hiranya worshipped Lord shiva in this sthalam , hence the name Narasimheswarar.
