All installation packages, environment installers, and other additional files that you need to get started with your Tekla product are available at Tekla Downloads. These steps tell you how to use the product-specific wizard for a guided experience. You can also download individual files on the All downloads page for your product.

You can also create unfolded single part drawings of single primitive lofted plates and tangentially continuous poly curves lofted plates. This enables modeling and unfolding of twisted plates, transitional duct work profiles, and other curved plates including bridge related plate work, vastly improving your ability to model complex projects.

Tekla Structures continues to enhance its point cloud functionalities. Tekla Structures allows manufacturers, erectors or contractors to check existing or planned constructions with scanned point clouds of an existing environment. Your possibilities are expanded in this version with new features and improvements, including options for customizing point size and density, and depth perception of point clouds and clash detection heatmaps.

Out with the old, in with the new! The process for editing drawing layouts has been completely revamped making it possible for any project team member to achieve office standard drawings, quickly. Add tables, schedules, define multiple drawing sizes, control margin and frame settings and associate layouts to specific drawing types, all with a new what-you-see-is-what-you-get user experience.

Finish your drawings faster and be confident that you are documenting exactly what you need. The new Tekla Structures version now shows General Arrangement drawing views in the 3D model space. You can easily see which objects are included in a drawing view, and our direct modification feature allows you to adjust the view limits. This new feature is especially beneficial in managing large and complex assemblies which may span multiple drawings.

Communicate clearly with project participants with cloud-based collaboration in Trimble Connect. You can directly publish IFC models, drawings, schedules and other project critical information from Tekla Structures to particular stakeholders as a submission or for review, as well as manage access rights.

New functionalities and usability improvements now better support workflows and make it easier to get started with Trimble Connect. The all new ribbon tab with Trimble Connect specific features such as ToDos, project users and more provides seamless integration and an easy start. You can connect to a project with just a few clicks from Tekla Structures and enable access to shared reference models.

The version is delivered with the latest improvements and comes with example formwork systems, so you can get a flying start using the formwork tools. To use supplier specific panels, you can access a wide selection of product families from multiple suppliers in Tekla Warehouse.

Tekla Structures rebar sets now automatically understand where they are placed relative to other bars in layer. This is an improvement on the auto layering functions previously released. You can now prefix and report bar layer automatically in both the model and drawings, allowing you to quickly create filter based drawings better suited to your workflow.

With the addition of reportable layers come new tools to affect the layer placement without using dialogs. You can now move an entire bar from its position to the outermost or innermost layer, as well as step into or displace a layer. This automatically updates the rest of the reinforcement in the concrete meaning no clashes, every time.

Rebar sets give you incredibly powerful automated rebar based on geometry, but now you can decide on the guidelines before the rebar is created. This means, in a few short clicks, curved or fanned reinforcement can be detailed with automatic scaling of centers by exact dimension or number of bars.

Updates to the rebar shape manager now allow multi-curved bars to be reported as single arcs, so that fabrication data such as radii and arc lengths can be reported and added to the catalog for automated recognition.

In an effort to update the catalogs in Tekla Structures, the rebar catalog is the first to be renewed. Now you will see a new, self explanatory and easy-to-use user interface. This is a new dialog which provides an error-free database, avoiding issues such as duplication, invalid property values, and more. The import and export features make porting data much easier from project to project and are especially useful for customers servicing projects in multiple countries/standards.

Tekla Structures makes it easy to model bridges efficiently and accurately. Get to know the workflow with the free Tekla Structures for Bridge Designers eLearning course. The course includes several tutorials, from the basics of the workflow, user interface and the Bridge Creator tool to using ready-made components and bridge embeds. The course is available in English.

We now have a link between Tekla Structural Designer and Grasshopper which allows you to explore different early-stage design alternatives quickly and easily. You can manipulate key parameters in Grasshopper which are linked to Tekla Structural Designer to compare alternatives. This new process makes it possible to find the best design alternative for your client faster than before.

The new link between Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds allows you to design Precast Concrete column and beam elements. This workflow is ideal for all engineers located in Norway, Sweden and Finland performing designs of Precast Concrete to suit the specifications of Eurocode BS EN 1992-1-1.

Analysis forces and design results can be seamlessly transferred between Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds allowing you to meet code compliant design requirements whilst also producing final calculations which can be submitted to a checking authority.

Tekla Structural Designer now comes with a predefined connection resistance database, which includes a range of connection types for Eurocode and AISC. This saves you from having to set up your own. The capacity of connections can now be checked as part of the design and helps you to identify potential issues of forming connections early in the design process.

This workflow allows you to link Tekla Tedds documents to Tekla Structures models. With this feature, you can directly attach Structural Engineering calculations to Tekla Structures objects for future submission to checking authorities. Existing documents may be linked along with a feature, allowing new documents to be created which can then easily be modified or reviewed.

A brand new feature of this link is that you will be able to launch supported calculations directly from the Tekla Structures interface. Applicable data is automatically populated from the Tekla Structures model. The integration process can also be easily defined by users to allow any sort of Tekla Tedds calculation to be associated to a variety of Tekla Structures objects.

Tekla Tedds is easy-to-use software from Trimble that engineers can rely on for accurate calculations. With Tekla Tedds, engineers can streamline engineering design, avoid errors and present output professionally.

Visit Tekla Tedds User Assistance to take the interactive elearning tutorials on using Tekla Tedds. Perform simple exercises and learn how to automate structural calculations and how to combine several Tedds calculations into projects.

Tekla Structural Designer now supports a database of predefined DELTABEAM sections which provides a faster and easier way for modeling and analysis. You can select a needed profile to analyze a global structure, and a final DELTABEAM design is performed by Peikko. The size of DELTABEAM can be determined by using Peikko Designer DELTABEAM SELECT, a free online service. Tekla Structural Designer generates a report of member internal forces that can be directly sent to Peikko. DELTABEAM composite beams are shown on drawings and reported in material listings.

You now have greater flexibility to track parts and assemblies through stations and routes on the shop floor. Once the tracked parts have been processed, you can choose which station the parts come together at to form an assembly. This allows for greater accuracy in production reporting as you have more flexibility in the way stations and routes can be configured to reflect your specific production settings.

You can now designate internal and external stations and routes for tracking processes outside your own facility. This gives visibility and reporting options on the progress of a project not only in the fabrication shop, but also tracking for external processes like erection. The status of the external stations and routes can be updated via Tekla EPM Go and can be visualized in Trimble Connect. This way the erection crew can update the erection progress from the field using EPM Go, and share these statuses both internally and externally in real time.

On the new Tekla EPM Go administration page, you can update and maintain key company information of your Tekla EPM Go site. Key information such as company information, company logo, and connection information are now easily controlled by the company administrator. This gives you greater flexibility and control of your site's content, appearance, and connectivity.

Tekla EPM Go now gives project managers greater access to key Project Management information in the field. In addition to the project schedule and production status, you can now access Transmittals, RFIs, and Change Orders using the mobile interface.

With the new option to use Trimble Connect Folder as the project or firm folder, the team can ensure controlled and centralized changes to Project and Firm folders defined using XS_PROJECT or XS_FIRM settings. With the one-way synchronization, you can rely on always up-to-date and correct settings and avoid making unintentional changes to folders with model sharing functionality.
