The Film Festival and Panel Discussion are at BNHS - Lion's Gate, Near Regal - Colaba. There will be various,displays,models, games,street plays, tribal dances etc at Kalaghoda.( Please refer Programme).
"Changing Currents is a multi media, cross disciplinary event that focuses on the various water related issues that we are facing today. On the 13th of March 2006 a ‘day long program will feature a series Films / plays / talks / exhibitions / installations highlighting issues connected with water, like the availability of drinking water, pollution, privatization of water, deforestation, radiation pollution caused by atomic power plants, destruction of coastal belts by five-star tourism, effects of big dams, disastrous fishing policies of technological modernisation and economic liberalization.
The event will present alternatives for harnessing, and rational consumption to prevent the destruction of this natural resource. NAPM , NBA and Open Circle have given a call to institutions and individuals with expertise in these fields to gather and present information about ground water harvesting, micro hydel power generation, solar and pedal power etc. Students, Activists and various professionals like artists, architects, environmentalists, have come together to organize this one day festival."
