Itseems as though the update "UI_Cheats_Extension_v.1.12" is the latest for the UI cheats extension but for some strange reason when this is in my mods folder my game gets stuck in live mode and I cannot switch from build mode to live mode {F1).
@AL40491 Following are some excellent resources with information on how to add, update, and properly monitor your Mods/CC. I've never used either so I cannot speak for the specifics in the case of the Mod you're having an issue with, but these are good sources of information on the subject.
It is usually recommended that you move your entire Mods folder to you desktop and then delete you localthumbcache.package file (and repairing your game in Origin can help too) in order to test if your problem is a Mod conflict.
Did you look at the links that @SheriGR provided ?
@AL40491 @EleganceAstute I was told by a fellow helper that the link shared here was to an outdated version fo the "UI Extension" Mod. He tells me you much go to the Patreon site to find the updated version (1.16).
This thread is a few years old at this point, so I'm locking it here to avoid additional necroposting and just to be sure we're not looking at potentially outdated info when checking into this further.
If you're still running into this problem after trying the suggestions earlier in the thread, please feel free to start a new topic with more details about the issue you're seeing and any steps you've tried so far, thanks!
After downloading, the user must locate the ZIP file and extract its contents. This can often be done by right-clicking the downloaded file and selecting the extract option. The result should be one or more files or folders.
The UI Cheats Extension must be updated regularly to ensure compatibility with the latest version of The Sims 4. Players should visit the UI Cheats Extension v1.40 page frequently to check for updates. Upon release, the player must download the new version and replace the existing files in the Mods folder.
To maintain game stability, players should verify compatibility between the UI cheats extension and other mods they have installed. Before installing new mods, it is recommended to always back up game files and to read through mod descriptions for any compatibility notes or warnings. Conflicting mods can cause the game to crash or other unexpected behaviors. Keeping The Sims 4 and all mods up to date is crucial to ensure proper functioning. If players notice any issues, they should consider downloading the latest version of the UI Cheats Extension or look for updates on other mods that may conflict.
