On this page of the Dying Light 2 guide, you will find the answer to the question of how to change the type of arrows for a bow (e.g. fire or poisonous). There is no intuitive way to do it, but using different types of arrows may help you eliminate enemies more efficiently.

By default, the bow you get in the game uses standard arrows to eliminate enemies. However, you may wish to use other types of arrows, e.g. explosive, poisoning, or infecting enemies you hit. The easiest way to unlock other arrows types is to visit one of the craftsmasters and buy a blueprint.

All arrows are stored in the backpack. You will find them in the bottom part of the screen in the Ammo section. You can't change arrows type there . You can only check the stock and, optionally, throw away your arrows if, for example, your inventory is almost full.

Select the bow from the weapon wheel, and there will be an option to switch between different arrows types (L1/LB and R1/RB on the pad). This allows you to easily and quickly choose the desired type of arrows from those in your inventory.

I've been trying to do this as well as increase arrow capacity but it just doesn't seem to work. I can't think of anything else to try and get it to work. As far as I know that's all that would need to be changed, it just doesn't do anything.

I'll go with the assumption that you have copied the "data\scripts\inventory\inventory_special.scr" file out of the Data0.pak file onto your computer and are modifying the copy to then place into a Data3.pak file as a mod instead of altering the file inside Data0.pak directly (which should never be done).

Another possibility is that you are modifying the "BulletGravityFactor" attribute for the wooden bow and testing with the wooden bow, but you are changing the "unaimed" base attribute only and then testing while using the "aim" function on the bow, which has its own setting.

There are two item blocks for each bow item - one is a long list of attributes, the second is right below this list and contains a list of changes to the bow functionality while using the aim function of the bow.

Be sure to change the "BulletGravityFactor" in both the long primary item attributes as well as in the very short "UsageType(UsageType_Aim)" item block right below it so the arrow gravity will be reduced while being fired while both aimed and unaimed.

I think I recall a difference in how the bow behaves compared to other firearms due to each arrow needing to be loaded when fired. So 'current clip size' and 'reserve ammo amount' may be different on the bow. Sorry, it has been a while since I messed with the bow and ammo.

Ok, the item you want to change is the bullet item for the different arrows. I recalled it backward from what it is (bullet item, not the ammo item - the ammo item is the actual arrow item out in the world that gets looted via various sources I believe).

The bow in Dying Light 2 Stay Human is one of the most effective weapons when fighting from a distance. You can even have fun with it by mixing and matching arrows that have different effects. And it'll never break down on you, so as long as you have arrows, you can shoot your bow for as long as you want. To get the bow, you're going to need to do a few things first. But don't worry because, in this guide for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, we'll tell you everything you'll need to know.

To unlock the bow in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, you're going to need to play a bit of the main story. You'll need to complete a handful of hours to reach the Let's Waltz mission. This is roughly the midway point into the game. After completing the mission, you'll unlock a blueprint for a bow called the Pipe Bow. If the bow isn't in your inventory after completing the mission, it should be waiting for you in your stash.

Using the bow is relatively simple to understand. Just like every other weapon, it does require some stamina. There are two different ways to use the bow. The first is you can press and hold down the trigger/mouse for long-distance shots, but doing this does drain your stamina bar. The other way to use the bow is by pressing the trigger/mouse, and your character will shoot an arrow, but it won't travel as far and is meant for short-distance shots.

Once you've unlocked the bow, you may notice that you're able to craft other arrows. Each arrow has a different effect, for example, Fire Arrows will set whoever you shot up in flames, and a Lacerating Arrow will cause your enemies to bleed and slowly lose health. To change your arrows, all you have to do is hold the button you have to quickly change weapons, and when you're looking at the bow, you'll be able to switch between arrows.

You asked for it and we are happy to deliver:
From today on forward you will be able to tame and raise your very own pet(s). Explore the Exiled Lands with your trusty companion by your side or build a farm to have them produce materials for you.

While you have a baby animal in your pen, the type of food you offer it will influence your chances to have your baby grow into a greater pet version: A rarer, more powerful and special looking variation.

The new pet system will also introduce the mechanic of thrall feeding. Special Feed boxes and Thrall Pots are available for easier, automatic food distribution to several pets or thralls for those of you who are planning for bigger armies of two and four legged friends.

Do you have a beast inside? Then you will be excited that with this new update we also introduce the 6th and final religion of the primal god, Jhebbal Sag, Lord of Beasts. Unlocking his religion is quite different than the previous ones:

You will need to track down one of his followers out in the world, learn a crafting recipe and create a special potion to gain access to the Midnight Grove where the god himself will test your worth to be granted or denied the right to worship Jhebbal Sag.

There are some things that you associate with the Conan world, such as dual wielding certain weapon types. With our latest combat update, we are introducing two special off-hand weapons which will open up a lot of new options for you to face your enemies in battle.

Until now your main hand weapon was used for a very specific goal depending on which weapon you were using: Swords to cripple your enemy, Maces while going up against shields and if you want a mix of both you might have used an axe, for example.

As a new mechanic, equipping a shield or a throwing axe in your off-hand will now enable new combos. This will not affect your left click (light attack) but it will change the heavy attacks, leading to completely different heavy chain combos. The heavy chain will now include additional attacks depending on which off-hand weapon you have equipped.

These new off-hand hits also come with completely new properties: The throwing axe will cripple, and shields will add the shield smash property with each hit. If you combo a one-handed spear with a shield in your off-hand you will also get hyper armor during your attacks.

This means you can now add several debuffs or use different properties the same time. Use a Mace for sunder and shield bash then add the off-hand throwing axe to also add cripple. Or if you want to make a 100% sure your enemy gets crippled, why not increase the chances and use a sword and the throwing axe together for cripple mayhem?

Just thralls placed out in the world (fighters, archers, dancers, bearers). The crafting thralls do not need to be fed. Thralls you have taken from the wheel but not yet placed in the world do not need feeding (eg still in your inventory or stored in a box/cupboard).

You can turn off the thrall feeding completely in your single player game if you do not want to feed them at all.
I believe you can also change settings so you can feed them but they take no damage if they are starving.

I just exit the game when inside dungeons.
All the timers for hunger and thirst stop once you exit the game since you are in practice shutting down the server.
The only drawback is that you will have respawns.

When players find a bow in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the flow of battle changes immensely. Dying Light 2 is a game that emphasizes melee combat, but the bow is included in a small pool of available ranged weapons. Using a bow in combination with other items increasing ranged effectiveness creates a massively powerful Ranger class. Dying Light 2 players can find their first bow after completing the quest "Let's Waltz" about six to ten hours into the main story mode.

When players start Dying Light 2 Stay Human, melee weapons are just about the only choice for combat. Ranged weapons can be found throughout the game, but they are not nearly as common as melee weapons. With the right skills in Dying Light 2, ranged weapons are a unique method of demolishing infected mobs. This means players should always consider looting a ranged weapon when encountered in the world. Any ranged weapon, such as a gun, is coveted in Dying Light 2, but its unique features make the bow especially useful.
