TheatreZone announces the Chelsea Youth Theatre's Spring 2007 Acting,
Dance, and Art Classes.
Classes begin March 17th and run for 10 weeks.
The showcase will be held May 19th.
Showcase tickets are $5 and will be available at registration.
(Art classes begin March 24. Art students will exhibit their work on
the 19th- no art classes will be held on the exhibit day)
ACTING
Creative Dramatics (ages 6-8), Sat. 10:30-11:30
Acting (ages 9-12), Sat. 11:30-1:00
Advanced Acting (ages 13+, and by invitation/audition*), Sat. 1:00-2:30
*Actors under age 13 who would like to audition for the Advanced Class
can audition at any of the registration sessions.
ART
Art Explorations (ages 6-8), Sat. 11:30-12:30
Art Explorations (ages 9-12), Sat. 1:00-2:00
Painting (advanced), Sat. 2:30-3:30
DANCE
Creative Jazz (ages 5-8), Sat. 9:30-10:30
Jazz Dance (ages 9+), Sat. 10:30-11:30
Admissions: Class size is strictly limited.
Early registration is suggested to guarantee your place. Preference is
given to Chelsea residents.
A one-time $25 non-refundable registration fee is required for all
classes. In case of hardship, fees may be reduced or waived- please
inquire at registration.

Actor Training Program
Spring Session 2007
Acting Workshop
Through a series of exercises and work on selected scenes, you will
free your imagination and develop your capacity to perform with honesty
and spontaneity. You will work on personalization, using imagery to
heighten emotional connection, and authentic interaction on stage,
preparing yourself to meet the challenges of acting on stage and
screen. Open to beginning and experienced actors.
Monday 7-9, March 19-May 7, 8 weeks, $195
Scene Study
This scene study class includes intensive work with imagery and improv
to heighten each actors ability to perform roles dynamically. As you
discover your strengths, you will learn to trust your impulses and
create characters who are vulnerable and compelling. Outside rehearsal
is required. Open to actors who have taken the Acting Workshop or
equivalent.
Monday 7-9, March 19-May 7, 8 weeks, $195
Audition Workshop
Audition with confidence! You will sharpen your technique as your
prepare for film, commercial, and stage auditions. Actors will learn
the ins and outs of the business of acting in Boston and will be
encouraged to pursue professional opportunities. Designed for actors
interested in establishing themselves in the professional world. Prior
actor training and/or experience required. You will work on preparing
at least 2 effective contrasting audition monologues, and on cold
reading skills for stage and on-camera auditions.
Tuesday 7-9, March 20-April 24, 6 sessions, $150
Enrollment limited to 6 actors.

Class size is strictly limited. Acceptance into all classes is at the
discretion of the instructor and an interview is required. Tuition is
non-refundable. In cases of extreme hardship credit may be given
towards a future semester at the discretion of the director.
