Description: Thematically, New Vegas is a post-apocalyptic western. You've got prospectors, dynamite, revolvers, sheriffs, and outlaws. I'm a firm believer that anyone playing NV NEEDS to play as a wasteland desperado at least once. I've recently been playing through New Vegas again, and I busted out my trusty cowboy build, and this is my take on what a cowboy should be in New Vegas, and I hope that you guys agree and enjoy.

Perks (Can be taken in any order/combination): Lady Killer, Rapid Reload, Intense Training (2 Ranks, both on Agility. Best used early for plenty of VATS), Quick Draw (Take with caution, there's a glitch that makes pistols draw twice.), Travel Light, Gunslinger, Commando (Feel free to ignore this if "Commando" doesn't fit a cowboy flavor), Cowboy, Shotgun Surgeon, And Stay Back!, Finesse, Light Touch, Better Criticals, Mysterious Stranger, Jury Rigging, Action Boy (2), Grim Reaper's Sprint, Nerves of Steel.

Companions: You can use any companions you want, but I find Raul (Vaquero Armor fits really well) or Cass to fit the best with a cowboy feel on the humanoid side, along with Rex. (Be aware that if you plan on being evil and/or wiping out the NCR, you severely limit your options in terms of companions.)

I've spent countless hours on fallout new Vegas and want to do a cowboy Yes Man playthrough with a female character. I know what guns ill use: Police Pistol, Medicine stick, Lucky, Mysterious Magnum, etc. I want to know what perks I should choose to deal a bunch of damage with these weapons. It would be good if you could give me some good armour that would suit a character like that.

Vegas Vic is a neon sign portraying a cowboy which was erected on the exterior of The Pioneer Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA in 1951.[1] The sign was a departure in graphic design from typeface based neon signs, to the friendly and welcoming human form of a cowboy. The sign's human-like abilities of talking and waving its arm received an immediate acceptance as the unofficial welcoming sign, reproduced thousands of times over the years and all over the world. The sign can still be found at 25 E Fremont Street, where it has been since 1951 on the exterior of what used to be The Pioneer Club but is currently a souvenir shop. The trademark is currently owned by Pioneer Hotel, Inc., which owns and operates the Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall on the Colorado River in Laughlin, Nevada. Laughlin has a twin of the Vegas Vic image on another large sign referred to as River Rick.

Although the Pioneer Club no longer operates as a casino, the 40-foot (12 m)[2] neon cowboy that was its mascot still exists. In 1947, the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce hired a West-Marquis firm to draw visitors to Las Vegas. The company then created the first image of Vegas Vic and his friendly "Howdy Partner" greeting (deliberately misspelled as "Howdy Podner").[3] Due to the popularity of the cowboy, Young Electric Sign Company was commissioned to build a neon-sign version by the owners of the Pioneer Club. They then commissioned Pat Denner,[4] who modeled it after the image in use by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. The neon version was complete with a waving arm, a moving cigarette, and a recording of "Howdy, Partner!" every 15-minutes voiced by Maxwell Kelch,[5] the President of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce at the time. Vegas Vic was then erected on the exterior of the Pioneer club in 1951[6] on the southwest corner of First Street and Fremont Street replacing the sign that simply said Pioneer Club with an image of a horse drawn covered wagon.

The red circle on his pocket is supposed to represent a Durham Tobacco tag that is dangling from a yellow string attached to the bag that is stowed away in his pocket (Vegas Vic represents a time when a cowboy rolled their own cigarettes from a bag of tobacco).

Vegas Vic was the first of what would become three neon cowboys at Nevada casinos. Wendover Will was erected a year later in 1952 at Stateline Casino and River Rick was erected in 1981 at the Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall in Laughlin. River Rick is virtually an identical copy of Vegas Vic, outfitted with a different color scheme.

(1) Recruit a sexbot. (2) Recruit a suave talker. (3) Recruit a real ghoul cowboy. (4) Tell James Garret Beatrix will be joining the Wrangler. (5) Tell James Garret Old Ben/Santiago will be joining the Wrangler. (6) Tell James Garret Fisto will be joining the Wrangler.

The first person we're going to go after is the ghoul who dresses like a cowboy. If you've gotten far enough in the main quest, you've likely already visited the Old Mormon Fort here in Freeside. Within the confines of the fort is one of the Fellowship's bodyguards, a female ghoul by the name of Beatrix Russell. Speak with Beatrix and ask her if she's looking for any side work. When you present her with James' offer, you'll have to convince her to take it with your powers of Speech-based persuasion (so make sure to have at least a moderate Speech statistical level before attempting this). Once you've managed to convince Beatrix, she'll scamper off to the Atomic Wrangler Casino. The game will prompt you to return to the casino yourself, in order to let James know that someone new is joining-up. But that's not necessary right now, since you can tell him about all of your catches all at once.

With three of the Cowboys top six offensive linemen watching practice, Brad and Mickey sift through the fallout, explain why the Cowboys have faith in their new kicker and are enamored with rookie receiver CeeDee Lamb.
