Advanced learner's dictionaries provide you with not only the
definition of a word but also example sentences, usage notes,
pronunciations tips and much more. The following are the probably the
best advanced learner's dictionaries available online:

Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary
(http://www.oxfordadvancedlearnersdictionary.com/)

Cambridge Dictionaries Online
(http://dictionary.cambridge.org/)

Longman English Dictionary Online
(http://www.ldoceonline.com/)

Macmillan Dictionary and Thesaurus
(http://www.macmillandictionary.com/)

Thanks sujeewa. I'd used the last two dictionaries for a long time and found out the Oxford online edition from your previous mail. It's the best online dictionary I've come across so far. Better sentence examples and fast loading.

I also use an offline dictionary called Babiloo. It, in fact, is a dictionary viewer which works on all platforms and you have to manually add dictionaries into it.
