Details of Post :

Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for temporary post of JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
for the DBTX project on “SORTING OF DEFORMABLE OBJECTS IN
MICROCHANNELS” in the Department of MECHANICAL ENGG.

DURATION: Upto 2 years, initially for a period of one year

QUALIFICATION: B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engg./Chemical Engg. or
Equivalent Degree with 60% Or 6.5 CGPA and valid GATE Score.

DESIRABLE:Candidates having good background in Fluid Mechanics and
experience with Microchannel flows or Microfluidics are encouraged to
apply.

FELLOWSHIP:Rs.12,000/-pm+ H.R.A

Note : Candidates will be eligible for House Rent Allowance as per
Institute norms, subject to eligibility.

Candidates should not be a recipient of Research Fellowship (i.e.
HTRA), if so give details of the date(s) and amount of award,
duration, name of the concerned Scheme / Principal Investigator /
Institution & supporting agency.

Other things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates

The Co-ordinator has the discretion to restrict the number of
candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the
basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum
prescribed in the announcement.

Application on plain paper giving name, date of birth, age, address,
full details of educational qualifications (stating the marks, ranks,
year of passing) and experience etc., along with copies of
certificates, should reach the following address on or before
20.10.2013. Candidates already working in any project at IIT, Madras
should send their application through the Co-ordinator of the project.
