Before setting up ECLIPSE on a workstation, ensure that every workstation is on the same workgroup or domain as the server. Installing Eclipse on a workstation can be done using one of the following methods:

Yes you can transfer eclipse programs from ubuntu to windows and the reverse too.For transferring files from windows to ubuntu you need to export you project from Windows and then import the project to Ubuntu.

The other answers answer you question, but based on your snapshots, I would bet that your project is configured to use a java runtime/SDK at a hard coded locattion. Try and have a look at your project properties, in the Java Build Path/Libraries/JRE System Library, or in Java Code Compiler. If you see windows-like path, it's not good...

Select Java Build Path on the left, then open the Libraries tab, and develop the JRE System Library item. If you see things like /usr/lib/jvm... you're good. If you see things like c:... that's your problem: the project tells eclipse to look for the java software development kit in a location that is windows-specific.

It is not possible to specify any GlassFish Server configuration optionsduring a ZIP file installation. Any configuration changes, such ascreating domains, clusters, and server instances, must be made manuallyafter installation.

Start GlassFish Server using the instructions in theGlassFish Server Open Source Edition Quick Start Guide.
The guide explains how to perform basic tasks such as starting theserver, accessing the Administration Console, and deploying a sampleapplication.

In order to test the spring framework web services locally via Eclipse Mars, I am trying to setup Tomcat. When I tried to set it up on the servers tab, I could only see Tomcat v6 option. and not sure why it always says stopped whenever I try to start it after some time. Here is how it looks like at stopped stage:

I have just changed broadband provider from Eclipse to Sky. I have an eclipse.co.uk email address. I continue to receive emails through Eclipse, but am unable to send from my Windows 8 PC, although, I can send from a new Samsung tablet and a Samsung smartphone. What should I do to send emails from the PC?

When you move to another ISP (unless you have an online IMAP / Exchange etc account like a Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail etc) alot of the time you will need to change the SMTP server address and / or SMTP settings in (Mail Clients) to allow the email to send from the new ISP.

1. Is the ThingWorx server you're trying to connect to hosted on your local machine, or on a cloud server? If you're hosted on your local machine, make sure the firewall accepts incoming requests on 8000 (I don't know for sure if firewall applies or not to requests originating from your local machine, that's why this suggestion). If you're hosted on cloud, verify with your provider if it can accept TCP requests on that port (there are appliances that for example only forward HTTP requests, and can't do pure TCP; also, maybe because of security reasons, they might only allow as incoming ports the HTTP ones, at which stage you're really blocked.)

When considering a potential Web application server to use for a production deployment of Composer-generated applications, please refer to the vendor's documentation to ensure that the software meets these pre-requisites. In addition, you should run a few basic tests using a Composer sample application, to ensure that the application behaves as expected. For more details, please refer to the section Suggested Test Plan.

For developing SCXML applications and related resources that will be executed on the Orchestration Server platform, only specific Web application servers are supported. Please refer to the Orchestration Server 8.1 Deployment Guide for more information.

Composer installs an embedded Tomcat web server for your use (code generation and testing). Genesys does not recommend that you use this bundled Tomcat web server for deploying and running your Composer-generated applications as part of a production setup. You may use a separate instance of Tomcat as a stand-alone web server, depending upon your needs and the recommendations of your IT department. Starting with 8.1.420.14, Composer supports Tomcat 7. Composer installation adds the role for manager-gui to Tomcat configuration for callflows and workflows.

Accept the defaults for the server host name (localhost), the server type (Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3), and Server Runtime. Change Server Name to Oracle WebLogic Server A. Click Next.

Eclipse is now configured to be able to deploy projects to the Oracle WebLogic Server. In a subsequent step, you add the project to the server configuration and the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse deploys it for you.

If they are not already running, start an instance of the Coherence cache server, an instance of the Coherence shell client, and your WebLogic Server Domain. Ensure that they start without any issues.

While the servlet is loaded and the Eclipse test browser is invoked to access it, the doGet() method is called and the servlet connects to the Coherence cache (because you see Coherence-related information in the WebLogic Server window as well as activity in the Coherence cache server window). Both the WLS window and the Eclipse test browser should show the value that you entered via the Coherence shell client.

After you make a change, note that the Status for the Server entry in Eclipse has changed to Republish. This means that your code and the deployed application are out of sync and the server is not running the latest version of the application.

Start up the Coherence cache server again as well as the Coherence client shell, and retest the application as you did in the previous section. (Remember to add a value with the Coherence shell client first). Does it work now?

To install some or all of the Eclipse tools, get an installation compatible with the desired tools and use the respective software site URL in the Help > Install New Software wizard. Based on the version of your eclipse:

The Cloud Foundry Plugins for SAP BTP are used to extend the Cloud Foundry CLI with additional commands.

  • Service Fabrik based B&R - Perform backup and restore operations on service-instances
  • PostgreSQL Migration Service - Migrate PostgreSQL db to PostgreSQL, hyperscaler option
  • Custom Domain Self-service - Manage TLS server certificates and client authentication trust for custom domains
For more information, on how to install the plugins see the documentation.

If you want to try out the tools without having access to an ABAP server, you can run your own using the ABAP Platform Trial, a docker image containing an ABAP application server running on top of the SAP HANA 2.0 database and SAP Cloud Connector.
You can pull the entire image from docker hub and create a docker container from it, see ABAP Platform Trial on Docker. For more details refer to this blog.

HANA smart data integration is a built-in data provisioning server in any HANA database. With this technology you can load data in batch or real-time into your HANA database. In addition to the HANA database you will need these components:

When it is done, you will see there is a Deployed Applications under the Glassfish node in the Servers view. Expand this node, there is a jakartaee8-starter node, it is our application running on the Glassfish server.

If you are creating a Java EE project, it is important to have a server defined in Eclipse so you can easily test your applications from the IDE - a much smoother workflow than building an artifact and manually deploying to Payara Server!

To add Payara Server to Eclipse, first make sure that you have Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers installed. If you're using Eclipse Oxygen (4.7) or more recent, you can install the Payara Tools plugin for a smoother experience using Payara Server with the Eclipse IDE. Details on installing this plugin can be found here. Alternatively, the GlassFish plugin should work fine for accessing basic server functions. This guide will be using the Payara Tools plugin.

4. Select Payara as the server type in the server definition window and specify both the host name (localhost is fine for development use) and server name. The server name is simply an identifier you can use to differentiate between servers if you want to define a number of them; you may want to include the version in its name.
