Hey guys!
So it's almost Feb and we haven't had a meeting yet for the 2011 season. I think that last year was one of our more successful festivals because we didn't promise more then we could offer and had virtually no problems with venues, artists, etc. I also think that if each organizer puts together his/her own show and if each of us supports each other's shows we will have a strong foundation for the fest, so I suggest that everyone try to produce their own show for the festival. There are some things that need to be discussed like how to get more volunteers/organizers, what dates we should use, who will update the web, etc.
I talked to a few people over the phone about this Monday, January 31st @ 6:00 PM for the first meeting. Does that work? PLEASE RESPOND to this email so we know that there will be enough people at the meeting.
Don and I were talking and thought it be best to hold the meeting at a venue that is not a bar, so we thought Cafe L'escalier (http://www.lescalier-montreal.com/special.htm). It's also close to UQAM and very activist friendly so that is good also. If people have other suggestions please speak up.
