Sub: National Training Programme on Micro Insurance
It is our pleasure to inform you that INAFI India is organising a National Training Programme on Micro Insurance during 15th June to 18th June 2009 in Madurai. We are immensely happy with the way you are cooperating in making these national programmes a successful one.
To make this programme a highly relevant one, we have added a few interesting/current issue based areas into the programme design apart from the basic areas like insurance concepts, types, models and present products in the markets pertaining to micro/mutual insurance. Some of the unique issues/topics covered in the new design are as follows
· Product development (life, health, livestock and crop insurance)
· Project management system
· Monitoring and evaluation system
· Insurance literacy
· Coinsurance
· Reinsurance and
· Tool kit for micro insurance
Apart from the classroom pedagogies, one day field exposure visit is arranged to the places where the best interventions as been taken place like for example to Suham hospital of Madurai, Thirumangalam crop and livestock insurance programme and life & health initiatives of Gangai, Kadamalai, Theni and Pudur federation mutuals. These federations are working from more than a decade and rendering their service to the vulnerable communities.
To attend this programme one should have a minimum knowledge on micro/mutual insurance. Programme is organised for minimum of 20 participants.Programme fee per participant is Rs.5000. Last date for enrolment is 31st May 2009
