Copy of the speech made by Mr. Zeeshan Sajwani on the occassion of "K-Gym Annual Convention 2006"

Topic: LIFE IS LIKE PREGNANCY
Problems are like pregnancy, they grow until presence is obvious
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Honorable chief guest, guest of honors, administration directors, president convention 2006 and ladies & gentlemen, Assalam-o-Alaikum and good afternoon.

It is an occasion for me to speak in Club Annual Convention 2006 and I should convey my heartiest thanks to administration directors and president convention to invite me to converse a few words and contribute to my opinion with you all. Thank you very much.

I have a very poles apart philosophy of life that you all people might not acknowledge. If I was the one directing oxford or Webster dictionary I would have written the word “Problem” as thesaurus for the word “Life.

Everyone who is alive and taking breathe must be a misery from this illness. Some are facing financial losses, some are confront to family matters, some are meeting unemployment and some are defeated in their love lives. Thus, no one is free from difficulty and stress.

I won’t take much of your time but I must speak some of my principles for managing problems positively.

=======================================
The first thing that I want to discuss today is that
 Put Your Problem in Proper Perspective & Never Let a Problem Become an Excuse.

What all we need is to only learn and understand a few things such as;
  • Every problem has a limited life span.
  • Every problem holds positive possibilities.
  • Every problem will change you and your life.
  • You can choose what your problem can do for you.
  • There is a negative and positive reaction to every of your problem.

=======================================
The second thing that I want to speak on is that
 Don’t underestimate your problem.

I seriously endorse you all to never underestimate any of your problems because I personally believe that problems are like a pregnancy. They keep on growing until their presence is obvious. No one is just a little pregnant and no problem is unimportant enough to ignore.

Never underestimate a problem or your power to cope with it. Realize that the problem you are facing has been faced by millions of human beings. In short, it is good when we help us turn our problems into creative experiences.

 =======================================
The third thing that I should speak here is that
 Don’t Wait but illuminate and Motivate

There is a time and place for patience after you have tried every avenue possible and have planted as many seeds of solutions as you can. Patience is not a virtue if you sit back and wait for your problem to be solved itself.

If you are an unemployed, don’t expect the phone to ring or a letter of appointment show up in your mailbox offering you a job. Don’t expect a bank to call you to lend you some money and after all never expect your separated girlfriend calling you and saying for re-union. I wont’ make it more complicated; lets finish it with learning that “understand that you alone are personally responsible for managing your problems. Don’t expect anybody else to do it for you”.

We have the power to make any problem better or worse. We do this when we react positively or negatively. If you have a problem, I suggest you not to add that problem in your buddies list in msn massager. That doesn’t mean not to add practically but it means don’t make that problem be a part of your daily routine.

Illuminate your mind. Get smart and then get smarter. Ask yourself some questions;
  • Have any other person faced my problem and overcome it?

You will get an answer that “YES”, there are two hundred and thirty people I know who are jobless. There are one hundred and sixty one people who are facing financial losses and there are one hundred and ninety three million people left by their sweethearts after couple of years for no good reasons.

Now, I want to finish it by saying only thing that, what is the difference between you and all these hundreds of people we discussed earlier? You don’t have any answer! It simply says that let these problems come and go because they are the part of life and everybody is suffering from these problems so why not me?

=======================================
Finally, The fourth and the last thing is:
 Date, Dedicate, Communicate and FORGET”

Whatever difficulty you have, let’s take unemployment. If you are an unemployed, find a job the way you found a wife or husband. Discover the many different kinds of jobs there are. Look them over. Play the field. Don’t let anything be a factor; a change of career at forty may be just what you need.

I believe that the person who knocks at the door, telephones, dates, and plays the field is the person who is going to get the job but no others.

Ladies and Gentlemen, here the talk is not all about job. We are talking about any of our problems.  I am not trying to convince you to forget you problems and avoid them, because I know it is very easy to say but very difficult to feel.

Ladies and Gentlemen, recently I had a problem to face and I did. I cannot discuss that problem here but it was very common and I can feel that particular problem in hundreds of you today. I know you people might not be interested to listen to my problems but let’s see the solution. The best thing to come out from thoughts is to mediate.

I wont’ take more than five minutes of you. Meditation is something we organize through and in our minds. The best exercise to fight against thoughts is to communicate with your thoughts. Get more into them. Think more about it. Feel it. Cry for it. Go sad about it. Get more into your thoughts. Take off for two or three days from your office. Don’t shave. Don’t iron your dress.

And than one day you will be able to accept that fact. The fact of life. The fact that happened to you for whatsoever good reasons. The fact with whom you have to live with and the fact of your entire past, presence and future.

Ladies and Gentlemen, here comes the end. In the end I only want to say that managing problems and circumstances of life depends upon your decision making. And I tell you that “Decision Making is easy if there is no contradiction in your value system.

Yesterday, when I was writing this speech, I thought it is boring enough to give people a real bad time, but when I read it again, I thought this speech might help anyone of you think in different directions.

Thank you very much Honorable Chief Guest, Mr. President, Convention Managing Committee and everyone here.

My name is Zeeshan Sajwani, and I hope you cannot forget the one who gave you such a bore time in such a happy moment.

Thanks you very much once again.

Allah Hafiz.
