The focus of our project needs to change. After our meeting with
professor Johnson, I'd like to think of this semester as the first
stage in a 3+ year project. Taking that into consideration, I feel it
would be more appropriate for our work over the next 12 weeks to be
more about design and research than about actual code.

Our biggest hurdle has been trying to figure out how to make an actual
application out of something we know so little about. Although I
would like to get some programming for certain specific widgets done
along the way, it will most likely be disparate and independent stuff
just to demo ideas.

SO, we will try to work closely with the 3 other groups, and that will
be a very large part of our work.

Thoughts?

Definitely. Also I will like to go for a more agile approach by sticking more to the closest milestone and then according to the evaluation of previous milestone, to modify the next milestone. Since we do not have much knowledge about the whole idea of how IW can benefit the cooperation of the software development, I do consider a frequent change in the early stage of the project will be more beneficial.
