Q3: How is it like to be Hypnotized and how can a person be
Hypnotized?
When one is hypnotized, he or she would guided be in deep relaxation
and be give hypnotic suggestions. Hypnosis is non trance like what
many say; this saying is one of the common misconceptions of what
hypnosis really is. It is like day dreaming, in order to be
hypnotized, there are few essentials to take note:
1. Motivation - You must want to be hypnotized.
2. Relaxation - Hypnotist will guild you into the state of deep
relaxation.
3. Concentration - You will use your ability to concentrate.
4. Imagination - You will use your vivid imagination.
5. Suggestion - You will hear and respond to suggestions
During hypnosis, you will remain conscious and in control of your
surroundings. Some of the sensations you may experience are:
● Tingling sensation in your fingertips or limbs
● A sense of numbness or limb distortion
● A sense of heaviness (relaxation of entired body)
● A sense of lightness physically or feel like floating away
● Some might have feelings of emotions
● Fluttering eyelid
● An increase or decrease in salivation or feeling a sense of
energy moving through your body
When one of any of those above happened, do not be alarm to disrupt
the process. Some open their eyes and come out of hypnotic state and
that is the best prove that people in that hypnotic state are in
control
and not as what other people say you will be like under a spell.
