We are excited to announce two positions at the University of Oslo.
District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) is an open source, web-based health management information system (HMIS) platform. Today, DHIS2 is used by ministries of health in 67 countries. The core DHIS2 software development is managed by the Health Information Systems Program (HISP) at the University of Oslo (UiO).
HISP is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre, and works directly with global donors, ministries of health and NGOs to produce global goods addressing health information system needs in low- and middle-income countries. This work includes creating standardized configurations of DHIS2 based on the best global guidance with regards to health guidelines, indicators, decision support, etc. Examples can be found here.
Hiring:
Project Manager: to join a team of product managers and other leads to help guide a portfolio of work that includes coordinating with global partners such as WHO, the Global Fund, UNICEF and GAVI, as well as supporting countries adopting these configurations, and overseeing the creation and updating of the accompanying packages, including the development of guidance materials; documentation; training curricula, etc.

Expert Implementer: support a portfolio of work that includes configuring DHIS2 -- aggregate, event and tracker --, providing technical support to countries adopting these configurations, and contributing to the creation and updating of the accompanying packages, including the development of guidance materials; documentation; training databases and curricula, etc.
