Quistions on ph client login and passwd

Hi,

I want to set up users that they can able to login to the PH server.
I used field 6:aliase to set their user name and field 7:password
to set up their password.Then , I rebuild ph server that changes
will take a place.
However, when I try to login to ph server, I get message "login failed".
Am I missing anything to set up user and password?
Do I have do anything else for setting up users for login to ph server?
Where can I get a Ph client for PC and MAC?

I would really appreciate your comment.
