We are running NuPOP under LAN WorkPlace for Dos and ODI drivers.
When people use the gopher client within NuPOP, we find that that telnet
session to our IBM mainframe is closed down after about 5 minutes.
This happens only with Novell's DOS TN3270 program, and not their
Windows TN3270. Also, on the mainframe side, the connection appears to
be still open, since when someone re-logs-in, they are told they are
still connected.
Since the (DOS) IBM session is also closed down when using Trumpet, my
guess is that the problem is with LWP or the Dos TN client rather than
with NuPop. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks for the help.
