Administrative requests for this list go to info-net...@rg.net.
However, if you have subscribed through other means, such as through
a LISTSERV or other secondary exploder, please send requests there.
ls...@rg.net is an automaton which can handle [un]subscribe mail.
Not of which I am aware. Dave Meyer and I are just helping with the
routing. Here is a bit of what I have learned.
o Non-profit, open, cooperation between academic and commercial providers.
Funded, at least partially, by OAS through SENACYT. Cooperative board of
directors and all that stuff.
o It is router (7206), as opposed to L2, based. Links are E1 over dry
copper using PairGain HDSL kit. Dry copper is $45/mo here.
o Players so far are
- PaNet - the old academic net
- OrbiNet - commercial provider
- C-Com - commercial provider
- SinfoNet - commercial provider
- GBM - commercial provider
I've some documentation on exchange creation and options from NANOGs 7 & 8
and from a Harvard KSG presentation. Its not online.
