Drawing program for cable diagrams

Can anyone recommend a good program for drawing network cable diagrams,
either commercial or shareware? Our facilities department uses Autocad for
floorplans, and although it would be nice to create a cable diagram as a
layer on top of an already existing floorplan I did not want to have to
spend time learning Autocad. However, if common experience suggests this is
the best option I guess I'll leap in.
