Is it worth it? Absolutely. For $295/yr, you get month updates of their
tech notes, bugs, etc in an easy to search format. Additionally, you get
the text and utils for the MS Resource kits and tons of other docs. I
would probably pay twice this amount for this amount of information (but
don't get any ideas microsoft!)

Just when I start to think that it isn't worth the $295, I'll
get some problem with Word 6.0 or some other bizarre networking
problem. My users will be breathing down my back to get
something done because there's a project due tomorrow morning. I
whip out the CD, find the problem, (hopefully) fix it, and all
is well in the kingdom again. I only get about two full-blown
crises/year, but it's worth it.
The rest of the time I use it to get general information or to
fix non-critical problems. It's nice to have around.

We have subscribed for a little less than a year now. Is it worth it? I
dunno. Most of the stuff is on the Microsoft FTP and Web sites but the
searching capabilities of the CDs make them more useful. The major hassle is
that they change the volume name of the CD-ROM each month, which means a
hassle for our Novell-based CD-ROM fileset. Microsoft has said they can't
fix it (!)
