An international forum where theorists and practitioners from a variety
of application fields present state-of-the-art work and exchange new
ideas. Topics include:

SUBMISSIONS: You are invited to submit papers, proposals for parallel
sessions or tutorials. Papers should report original and unpublished
research. Manuscripts should not exceed 20 double spaced pages, exclu-
ding figures and tables.
Electronic submission is encouraged. Manuscripts in plain ASCII or
PostScript formats can be sent by

It is also possible to submit a paper version. In that case, send 9 cop-
ies to the program committee chairman. Author identification should
appear on a separate cover sheet and NOT within the paper itself.

giving: address of contact person, authors, title and abstract.

PROCEEDINGS: Approximately 20 fully refereed papers will be presented
in the main track of the conference and appear as a special issue of
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION. Papers being presented in parallel sessions
will be made available through WWW.
POSTERS: A limited number of submitted papers will be accepted for a
poster session.

TUTORIALS: Please submit proposals to the tutorial chair.
PARALLEL SESSIONS: Parallel sessions are organized by a session chair-
person and should focus on a single topic. Papers should either have a
survey character or present a "hot topic." If you are interested in
chairing such a session, please submit a proposal of the theme and a
list of the speakers to the program committee.
