Would you like to develop some enjoyable and valuable
new skills to enjoy this coming summer?

Have you wondered what it takes to shoot a pistol accurately?

Do you want to know how to handle pistols safely and responsibly?

Are you curious about the various pistol sports and competitions?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then this course is
for you. Better still, you can take advantage of our spring special;
you and a friend can share the experience for the price of one!

AWARE (a charitable organization providing self-protection education
for women) will present a course on pistol marksmanship. Topics will
include safe firearms handling, gun operation, and pistol sports.
Techniques that work for women will be emphasized. Students will
exercise their new skills on the firing range under one-on-one
supervision and will fire a variety of revolvers and semiautomatic
pistols. The course will be taught by women who are certified
firearms instructors, and it will be open to men.

This course is commonly required by police chiefs for applicants
seeking a License to Carry Firearms in Massachusetts. Upon
completion, you will receive a certificate that may be included in
your permit application.

An FID card or a License to Carry Firearms is required for
participation in this course. If you do not already have an FID or a
License, please call the number given below for more information.

Space is limited to 10. You must register with a $20 deposit mailed
to the address given below.

You will want to bring a notepad, pen or pencil, and lunch.

DATE: Saturday, June 1, 1996.

TIME: Sign-in at 8:45 AM. Classroom and range work from 9 AM to 6 PM.

PLACE: Harvard Sportsmen's Club, Harvard, MA.

COST: $50 (includes books, materials, and ammunition). Take advantage
of our spring special: you and a friend can attend for a total
of $50 if you both register in advance.
