Yet again I get stuck on trying to port NNStat to linux due to the _filbuf
hack.
The "obvious" solution for the problem which is being solved by this
hack is using xdrrec_create, which allows you just that - specify I/O
routines to be called by the XDR library.
I remember this solution from a few years ago, and as far as I
remember I didn't implement it because this routine wasn't available
on all platforms.
From a brief look at SunOS 4.*, Linux and IRIX 5 it looks like this
routine is standard today.
Can someone give me a good reason not to change NNStat to use it?
