I am interested in knowing if any BSDI-Users out there have successfully
installed a 128bit Verisign cert. Verisign only states compatibility with
Netscape Enterprise on Solaris or NT.
I was able to install the 128bit cert on FastTrack for BSDI. Funny though.
My application would only resolve when older 2.0 browsers were used.

Why not move to Apache+SSL and get a 128bit cert from Thawte?
Haven't tried it.
I know that Covalent's Raven module, when you talk about creating a cert, asks
whether you're getting it signed by Verisign or not. I'm planning to go with
Thawte.

FYI to all...
Actually I have been using a Thawte Cert for a couple of years now,
however, Thawte only provides a 40bit cert. Browsers do read even 40bit
certs at 128bit, however, my application is 3 tier and the data transfer
from server to server is where I need the encryption at 128bit.

Don't know where you got that. We have several Thawte certs, full 128-bit.
Perhaps the web server software you used (are using) to generate the CSR
only does 40-bit?
