It is "quotas" not "quota's", as the quota is not posession anything, but
that aside:
Add 'userquota' and 'groupquota' to your /etc/fstab for the partition you
want to run quotas on. ie:
/dev/sd1a /usr/home ufs rw,groupquota,userquota 1 2
create a user called 'quotaguy'. Set his quota up (using 'edquota quotaguy')
to what you want as the 'default' quota for your users. Once he has been
setup, you can use him as a prototype for adding quotas to all of your other
users: edquota -p quotaguy abc jbc brian andrew
Group quotas keep quotas for the TOTAL of the group (ie, if the group
developers had a quota of 12MB, the TOTAL disk space allowed for that group
will be 12MB, not 12MB per person in the group), so you probably don't
REALLY want to use them.
Full information available by reading:
man quota
man edquota
man fstab
man quotaon
man repquota

Darnit. "not in posession of anything", or "not posessing anything".
AlanC {knowing from the start that he should not have mentioned the mistook}

First off, you know any attempt at a spelling flame *WILL* have a grammatical
error.
Second, I think this is off topic, and I'm going to write the list admin
asking to have you removed.
