Here's an urgent plea for you guys. Maybe this has been answered,
but I've checked all available FAQ's, etc, to no avail.
We've got us a Sparc 20, runnign Solaris 2.4, and the latest
release of BIND. We have *many* domainnames that we're primarying.
Recently, when adding a new domainname, and restarting named, I was given
the syslog message "domainname.com: Too many open files." This was not
good, so I killed named, and tried to restart it, giving me a
Segmentation Fault. The only way to get named to run properly is to
restart the entire system.
What causes "Too many open files"? Why would named core dump upon
being started?
Please help, etc. :)

of files which a process may open and increase it at your own risk :->
