Title                 : Sr. Solutions architect

Location          : Columbia MD

Duration         : 3 Months

 

Job Description:

 

·         Participate in reviewing the architecture and code and provide recommendations for design and implementation

·         Work with the Review Lead in taking ownership of components to evaluate

·         Interact with various stakeholders of the solution and develop a deep understanding of the current system

·         Provide detailed reports on the Findings & Recommendations

·         Ensure the timely delivery of the artifacts

·         Participate in the Proof Of Concept (POC) activities

·         Work with Infrastructure SMEs to develop and understanding of the underlying infrastructure

·         Provide thought leadership, strategy and lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing data centric technologies for the platform

 

Required Skills:

 

The ideal candidate will be an expert in the field of Java Enterprise Architecture (EA) and systems integration, with extensive applied technical knowledge and practical experience in these areas

·         The candidate must be familiar with and able to follow the industry-standards for SOA design patterns and SOA coding practices

·         Up-to-date familiarity with the latest developments in IT systems

·         The candidate must be experienced in designing, developing, testing, and integrating web services into a large SOA application

·         Bachelor's degree with major in computer science

·         5+ years of experience towards architecture and implementing Linux or UNIX software solutions

·         6+ years of experience with J2EE technologies

·         10 years of experience with the complete SDLC of J2EE web-based client-server systems

·         Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, and to present ideas clearly

·         Strong communication and technical skills with a proven track record of developing relationships at engineering and commercial levels throughout organizations

·         Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about open source technologies and community-based development

·         Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform products including JBoss, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other related technologies

·         Working experience in large scale J2EE systems deployed in cloud and/or data centers
