Dear colleagues and friends,
We would like to invite you to contribute to our crowdsourcing campaign aimed at increasing the transparency of EU climate and energy policy-making. Analysing the balance of interests in the policy debate is important because the way organisations influence the policy-making has an impact on the well-being of us all.
We are now launching this initiative and aiming to get as much coverage and input as possible. Please spend a few minutes reading this message and pass it on to others who may be interested (just put us in cc).

In line with the "better regulation" agenda, EU citizens and stakeholders can participate in the process of designing the EU policies by contributing their responses to the public consultations. In order to shed light on the balance of the interests at stake, we need to analyse all these responses.
To this end, we have set up an easy-to-use policy mapping tool (check out the instruction video at the link below). Once this crowdsourced analysis is completed, you can explore the links among organisations and think of new ways to influence the implementation of the EU 2030 Climate and Energy Framework!
Everyone can take part in this (it should take less than 30 minutes) and we encourage you to analyse as many documents as possible. If you are teaching, you could share this initiative with your students. Or perhaps you have colleagues, (data) journalists and other opinion-makers in your networks who would be interested? Take action: build and explore the network of interests in EU policy making!- START NOW

This is the start of a broader initiative on engaging citizens in EU public consultations, beyond climate change and energy. We are interested in potential partnerships to further develop the concept. For questions about the project send an email to: crowds...@simpolproject.eu
