State Reporting - KCAN

Has anyone done their KCAN reports yet? Anyone else having it pull all students and not just the groups required?

Like I ran it for our middle schools and it pulled all of their grades. Not just CTE, Migrant, and Virtual.

Mine pulls all of the students as well, but I think in the past I have always used an ad hoc to only pull the needed students.

I also was only including course outcomes for HS (grades 9-12) and didn’t have any plans to include any MS students. Since our MS and HS are in the same building, I filter the extract with a grade level based ad hoc.

 

We don’t have Migrant or Virtual to worry about at D-West or Troy, but am I supposed to be including middle school CTE course outcomes as well? (my memory from reading file specs is not there right now!) I didn’t think middle school students could be selected as participants in the Pathways student assignment (why I’d need to include MS CTE course outcomes, since that is what populates Pathways student assignment process), but maybe they can and maybe I need to be including those MS CTE course outcomes as well???

I wasn't sure. I went ahead and submitted out middle school CTE courses that are coded X. I haven't done our high school yet.
