I’ve got an open support ticket in with CIC asking this, but thought I’d throw it out there to the group to see if anyone else has any info. I’d think it would be a fairly common request for admins/building secretaries.
We are looking for a way to report missed tardy time and occurrences. As it currently stands, it seems that the available AdHoc attendance fields (and also canned attendance reports) complexly exclude period time missed if categorized as tardy (and not absent). I can’t find any tardy minutes listed in the attendance adhoc fields.
We want to know how many minutes and occurrences students are gone from class, not just if marked absent, but also if marked tardy. Tardy time can result in quite a bit missed class time and I’m not seeing on where I can get this data for the admins/office staff? (I haven’t started digging into the SQL tables yet).

Based on my experience, the number of occurrences for Tardy is pretty easy through ad-hoc.
If the office does check-in/check-out it will calculate the present minutes. (and you could calculate how many absent minutes). However, if a kid is late to class and the teacher marks tardy, to my knowledge there is no minutes tardy entered.

Thanks Todd. I must be missing the field(s) that show tardy occurrences, or we don’t have something configured correctly, as the test ad hoc one of my secretaries was working on that she shared with me, shows zero tardy data. We very well just haven’t found/selected the correct field yet.
I think at the elementary (it is two different elementary schools’ secretaries that are asking for my help), it is the building secretaries that are editing the attendance records with “tardy time” (when students come into the building late or when teachers are selecting tardy).
As far as getting counts, Leslie Rullman at Riverside pointed out to me that they could be using the “Period Count Report” and filtering by statuses and excuse codes (would take running reports more than once, using different filtering options to get absent and tardy data). That report does allow us to list tardy “counts”, but not tardy “minutes”.
