IC Work Day,

Some folks asked to see this also.  This outlines how we track all of our PSAs.  The choice is either in the Assessment Center or as a Course Grading Task. Our district is considering listing everything in the Assessment Center for continuity. It can be done in different ways.

I wasn't able to attend. Thanks for sending out all the info.

One question I had about this is the best way to roster students into all the clubs and activities/sports. I was wondering if this could be done through course requests throughout the year, as sports and activities are starting? Then use the requests and rosters to roster them?

Would that work or would it cause issues? Is there an easier way than having the admin assistants rostering them manually?

Good morning,

Thank you everyone who was there yesterday! I feel it was very productive and we have everyone off to a good start with creating academic plans that either start with a test or with a course. There were a few gaps in our knowledge. We'll work on those soon.

Nicole - thank you for linking that in here :-)

Josh - I know requests & rosters could be used and it is way faster than using the walk-in scheduler one by one. The requests & rosters tool is helpful when people just have the kids name as the primary search is by text. You can filter kids a few different ways on that screen & also have the option to run an ad hoc to do even more filtering like adding gender.  I have never played with course requests ongoing during the school year but that is something to look into.  We probably need to update our directions for staff here to use that, I'll start down this path and am happy to share what I find out.

Karlean

Karlean and Nicole, the secretary noticed activities listed in attendance.  Are the attached what you would expect or do I have something wrong.

Hi Leslie!
Go to the Course Information Page and then unmark the box that says "attendance". If you have Course Masters do it there and push it out.

Leslie, I looked at it closer and it's just saying you have a period called activities. It can't do any attendance, it says the class doesn't take attendance or the kid isn't scheduled. I think they can just ignore that period on there.

Thank you.  That is what I was thinking.  The HS secretary noticed it yesterday.
