Hey everyone,
We just completed a migration from hosted to cloud choice and in the process of testing everything we noticed that if you send a message with both voice and text the text won't be sent if the person accepts the phone call.
We knew about call chaining in that if a person answers the call it will stop calling that person. We were not aware that would prevent text messages from going out as well. I did just confirm on our ticket that it only happens on non emergency messages.
It's our district's opinion that voice and text should not be reliant on each other so we have submitted an enhancement request to have this changed.
Location: Communication > Messenger > Messenger 2.0
Module: Messenger
Functionality change:
Currently the "Call Chaining" process will stop text messages from being sent if the person receives the phone call. We feel it's important that the process does not include text messages. "Call Chaining" should only affect voice messages.
Thanks,
