partition a Mellanox Infiniband switch?

Hi,
I'm trying to find out how to partition an Infiniband switch. The
switches are Mellanox, and I'm looking to use the Mellanox Unified
Fabric Manager to do the partitioning, but I don't see any
documentation about how exactly to go about this. I'm pretty much a
newbie with respect to Inifiniband management, if this is not a good
place to post this question, any pointers would be appreciated.

I have another question.

Does the InfiniBand Partitioning depend on the IPoIB? Can I partition a ib switch without IPoIB?
